White Water Park
We've booked this site for a first time mid-week visit next month. Are there any pitches to be avoided, if possible, or ones that members who have visited would recommend to take should they be empty?

Hi Nellie, we were there two weeks ago in the snow. Depends on what you want & how mobile you are ( motorhome or caravan ? ). Most pitches have been converted to hardstanding, though some were still being done towards the perimiter fence, which are the best pitches for views over the nature reserve below the site. If you want to be close to the pub next door or the huge retail park over the A66, then choose a pitch close to the entrance. We have used several pitches over the years, always for short breaks as it's local to us & have not had a bad experience of any of them.
My profile photo is actually of our new caravan on Pitch 1 ( fully serviced ) at White water

White water park was the first club site we used (and nearly the only one)
The site has had a lot of work done since we were there. We had an uneven but huge grass pitch somewhere in the middle. We avoided the perimeter pitches as a footpath on the other side of the fence would have given good views into our washroom
I recall there being quite a variety of pitches and plenty of opportunity to avoid the main route round the site

Thanks both. We are in a caravan lesbunny and certainly wouldn't want to be too close to the pub or retail park, although close to a decent walk for the dog would be good.

NTH, we use this site a couple of times a year. The pitches we like best are the ones on the first road on the right just after the toilet block, these were the original h/s pitches before they converted all the others. They are near enough the block but not to near, far enough away from the entrance and mh service point and the pub.
Lovely walks either side of the river for miles you will enjoy.

Thanks, TG. I'll have a look at the site map to familiarise myself with the layout.
