I was just browsing through the magazine then after having read two or three letters regarding £100K outfits and some comments for and against turned over a few more pages and there they were, two articles, one on the Land Rover Velour at £70000 and the second a Lunar Delta at not far short of £30000. I`m still not sure which to order first!

Quite  understand  your  problem Tigi  !

I'm  never  sure  if  I  should  have  the  plain  white  bread  or  the  expensive  seeded  wholemeal  one  undecided !!

I  only  know  me  owd  gran  would  have  a  heart  attack  if  I'd  told  her  i  pay  30/--  for  a  tuppenny  loaf.

The  same  applies  now,  I  get  chronic  chest  pains **  when  I  see/hear  folks  with  those  super-duper  vehicles  surprised  !!

    Brian

**  I  hope  it's  just  my  wallet  sealing  itself,  just  in  case  yours  truly  gets  the  spending  bug  !

The motorhome dealers near me frequently have motorhomers at around £100k. I asked if they sold many at that price ..... apparently they do 👀

If you want to see how the other half live, over winter in Spain's Costas. I thought I had a large expensive motorhome but it is nothing compared to the bugalows on wheels you encounter there and it is not just the odd one or two either!

According to Dr Ellis, you can select another pitch if you don't like looking at his excessive £100k plus obstruction. Will wardens go along with his dictum?

    What a yucky letter!

Why not just order one of each, for different days?

Why does the club shoot itself in the foot with stupid letters like that? Almost encouraging antagonism.

    Well yes!

Why Dr Ellis thought anyone would be interested in how much his / her outfit cost is beyond me.

And why the Club chose to print his / her letter is even more beyond me!

I'm completely in the dark. The Feb edition isn't available for download yet. The Club needs to up their game and make the download available at the same time as those posted.

Having read all the associated letters I reckon they just about reflect the diverse bunch we really are. With all those different and varied, even opposing opinions etc, I  reckon folk would protest more, and probably with good reason, if this spread of opinion was deliberately not reflected in the letters published.

Don't see how some people buying outfits at over £100.000 should cause so much anxiety on this forum.. ---People buy what they can afford and if they can afford those outfits, good for them. I am happy for them. smile

After all, the CMC formerly the CC, pride themselves in being the Camping organisation of choice for rich professionals who have a large disposable income.  To those well off people, £100.000 or so is small change.

The "Green Eyed Monster" is still alive and kicking it would appear. surprised

    cool

But why choose to "up the anti" between van owners in the magazine. How friendly is that? What is the club doing creating this sort of stuff! undecided

I always thought that the names given along with "Letters to The Editor" were, like the content of the letters, made up in their entirety by desperate people on the Editorial staff.
