New Bailey - Wrong Tracker!
Our new Bailey Seville arrived at the dealers about three weeks ago, we ordered it at the NEC show in October. We were very excited when we got the call to say it had arrived and made arrangements to have a weekend stay at the supplying dealers caravan site - a new era, new adventures to be had.........
But alas we are still waiting for those adventures to begin - which seem a little distant and dulled now.......
Bailey have managed to supply the caravan with the Retrieve Tracker system instead of the Monitor system it should have been fitted with! Has anybody else had the same experience?
Due to the distance we have to travel the new Seville is still at the dealers. It seemed the logical thing to leave it with them rather than bring it home, wash it, cover it and then have to take it back to have the correct system fitted. Which Bailey, rather patronisingly, kindly advise will be replaced at 'no expense' to ourselves!
But Bailey don't have the replacement units in stock and they seem rather reluctant to make any effort to resolve their mistake in a timely manner or to actually discuss the matter directly with us.....have you ever tried to telephone them?
We did consider quite carefully buying a new caravan of Dutch or German origin before we opted for the Bailey.....................perhaps next time we will!

Theres a big difference in the 2 systems - and the Retrieve tracker is definitely inferior. Its only a location device, once someone has reported the caravan stolen.

It is not just caravan theft though JVB. Warns of low battery and also should somebody break in and remove windows for example it is better to be aware of a problem then rather than 3 wet and windy days later. Having said that our present caravan was acquired in December and has a Phantom Tracker. After the first year has passed I shall not renew.
