Yet  another  of  the  'Old School'  of  footballers  has  left  us.

Played  for  Blackpool 600 plus  times  and England,  Managed  Bolton  and  Leeds,  then  spent  years  doing  summaries  for  BBC  5 Live.  Never  heard  anything  other  than  praise  for  one  of  footballs  "Mr  Nice  Guys"

Rest  In  Peace  Jimmy  Armfield.

    Just heard this news. A very sad loss. One of the sport's true gentlemen, we'll not see his like again.

    I've never heard a bad word about this gent and well remember, as a young girl in Blackpool, getting his booked autographed for my dad who was a massive fan of Blackpool FC.
