Morvich Pitches
Hi, I have just booked a 10 day stay at Morvich, but was wondering if anybody knew of what pitches to avoid, as after reading some of the reviews it seems that some do flood after heavy rain (this is Scotland). Any advice or tips would by grateful.

We stopped on 77, alongside the tent field. Which did get puddles in it after heavy rain. Although our pitch was OK. The site is very flat and I suppose given the right conditions water could pond just about anywhere. The whole area is on river gravels though and seems to drain quite quickly. The puddle in the tent field, was not there for long.
The end of the site we stopped on is quite nice as being a dead end gets less site traffic.

We stayed on "40" in May had no problems with flooding. If I'm not mistaken the wardens take any pitches out of use if there has been any flooding.

I've been to Morvich many times and even during very heavy rain, I have never seen any significant flooding. The rain water drains away quickly.
I always pitch within the main caravanning area because of the fine views of the surrounding mountains. The small caravan area behind the tent camping part of the site is too enclosed by trees for my liking and can be quite dark on dull days. As I've never pitched there I cannot comment on how wet it is in that small area, or how long it takes to dry out.
