Bailey warranty extension concern

Hi All, I have a 2016 Bailey Pegasus Verona. I emailed Bailey to ask how to extend the warranty (especially with concerns with damp).

I thought the reply would be a request for a sum of money paid directly to Bailey.

I was surprised that I was advised to get a warranty extension through an insurance company called MB&G.

Is this standard practice?

Cheers

Derek

Pretty much I reckon. When warranties are extended it is usually via an insurance policy I think. Often sorted by the dealer at purchase

For Bailey, yes this normal. We have a Bailey motorhome which came with a 6 years ingress warrenty, after having damp twice and repaired under that warrenty Bailey extended the warrenty to 10 years as a good will gesture. The warrenty is through MB&G.

Del Sandy, I understand Bailey have a six year warranty which is then extendable by four years through your dealer. I have just read this on their web-site, so don’t think you have to worry just yet.
