Brue, Instead of complaining about what people on here or what are you up to thread, choose to post, why don't you respond to some of the questions that people have asked, seeing that you own an EV and would therefore, know the answers to those questions such as how much power is used by heating, aircon etc. and how much this might reduce the range? Don't you think that would be a more useful and helpful response instead of hitting the report button?

Yes pointless at the moment, EasyT  but necessary if I want to keep my job. I can't very well say to them to drop me off the rota until March when they need drivers to work now, and expect them to hold my job open for me, can I?

That's not the only reason CY. Brighton gets very congested with traffic and speed limits of 20 mph in some areas, so the commute to work can take longer from the club site there than it does from Redhill where it is motorway with fast moving traffic nearly all the way!

In my view, making complaints is destructive, especially when the issue being complained about is trivial. What bewilders me, is why some people on here hit the report button about something trivial when it would be more useful to post a constructive comment that is helpful to others.

Whatever the reason, CMC has won our business from them by providing better and more reliable service and facilities. Well done CMC!

They are asking you, because you seem to have all the answers, you have recently purchased a EV, a newer model than Brue, so the salesman must have explained to you how certain things would reduce the range of the battery. I assume you did ask these important question as you seem and intelligent person who wouldn't buy on a whim.

People complain for many reason, and should not be judged for it, and people who complain about people complaining maybe should ask themselves was it the way I posted that upset someone,

I would use the word pointless, rather than destructive. However, in principle we agree. The OP is tell us your news and trivia. I would also add that whilst a constructive comment might be helpful, a pointless one would also be in order.

    I rest my case.😀

When my son was looking for work I noticed many private companies  that provided their vehicle and would actually paid you to work. Maybe something like that would provide you with a better income. It would give you the driving job that you say you are good at and enjoy, plus you would have time to spend with your wife.

I think that for an intelligent man there are more rewarding jobs than a fast food delivery service.

You need to take up any issues you have with Rowena not with me. Her posts yesterday were a reminder about the way CT operates for the enjoyment of all.

I too would rarely report a post. If I do do it is normally because I think CC input useful and ask for such input. Certainly not to report posts that I am not interested in.

I certainly would not report a post because I did not agree with it, or thought it out of place. Much of the current problem has been caused by such reporting, in my opinion. Rowena stated she was closing the EV thread because of reports. Not surprisingly the topic spilled into general chat. So pointless really.

Exactly, Steve. It is clear from that, that certain posters are abusing the report system and thereby causing threads to be closed. They seem to get some kind of kick out of acting in such a destructive manner. Such behaviour is annoying to everyone else but they don't seem to care about that. In behaving in this way, all they achieve is to make matters worse.

I don't think you can call it abusing M. Everyone is free to use the button  as they see fit. Also as I previously stated I don't feel the use of "destructive" appropriate. I was just highlighting what in my opinion is the pointlessness ( is that even a word) of it all.

Been looking at doing a river cruise from Moscow to St Petersburg, think it would be a good one to do in July when its OH's birthday. Russian visa's would be required of course, believe they can take a couple of months to come, so its all pointless just now until OH has had his Op frown

Finding trying to organise this years trips a tad frustrating.

It must be frustrating TG, especially if things like visas have to organised well in advance. We are just slowly coming out of a year of not being able to plan anything early, or commit to any bookings because of health issues and appointments. On the plus side, obviously not overseas, but we did make the most of short trips to some very interesting new places not too far away in between operations, treatment and bouts of illness, and it kept us happy, still functioning. Depends if you can do this of course, but hope things pick up for you, and you can still get out there, even if at short notice and not too far!smile

It is already a lot better thank you! Cooker chosen, just need to sort out delivery date. Looking good for taking Mum away for a short break as well, so an all girls shopping/zoo trip is in the offing in a couple of months time!

All that worrying about cooker proved pointless!laughing
