I can't save money at this time of year when choice of sites is much more limited. Littlehampton CMC site is closed January/February, Northbrook Farm is closed until March and Lancing Fruit Farm are closed because the field is waterlogged. All of these are within easier commuting distance but unfortunately, are not available at this time!

I did offer a suggestion but was shot down, now find it pointless to object and just join in.

This is what I was told.

Although whatshisname is in cloud cuckoo land, he has a right to post wherever as everyone has a right to reply. If the mods think its in keeping with the forum then I guess everything is ticketyboo and lets face it DIY, brussel sprouts, shopping and the weather is hardly riveting stuff

Pointless me pointing this out really but like EV's, it keeps the forum ticking over

You never offered a suggestion, you tried and still are trying to moderate that member and the Forum by attempting to curtail his right to post and ridicule him.

A Mod will take action if needed, something you are not.

I think possibly the ridicule is running towards those that respond, someone who wants to win at everything and have the last word. It is a game played by a gamer.

My last words on the subject. smile

I was detailed to mop the bathroom floor but have succeeded in breaking the handle. Why do they make a handle that is going to sit in a damp environment out of steel? Pointless.

The upside is that I might not be allowed to do it in future. laughing

It would be nice to keep certain done to death topics over on the other thread, and keep this more of a fun thread, but I suppose my thinking is going to be considered pointless.....smile

My theory, CY, is that if you want a job done well, do it badly first time then the wife will always do it in future!  wink

I am off to look at cookers. Mum needs one, doesn't want to buy one, but sometimes health and safety has to take priority. Wish me luck.....

Hope you find one you both like, suppose it's hard to let go of something you are so familiar with and that has served you well, suppose she will think it's pointless.

Good luck TDA, we can't prize my Mum out of her favourite chair even though it needs replacing and she can only just get herself out of it (it's too low.) My father in law was the same, we know when we're defeated. But an unsafe cooker is much more of worry.

Found two that are suitable, decent price. It will happen tonight, I am on a roll, even got her to consider a night away instead of a present for her birthday. Strike while the goings good is my motto. Tomorrow of course it will be a different story!laughing

If it possible brue, put the chair on some ugly bricks. The height will make things easier, and eventually she will get fed up of the bricks..... surprisedlaughing

I was about to point out the pointlessness of B&M selling Hard Water teabags in a soft water area when I checked to see if we had changed and nobody informed me. We haven't but there are some hard water areas within 50 miles so I suppose the teabags are for day trippers to our unique B&M store!smile

Our Waitrose sells kettle and washing machine descaler, shower limescale cleaner etc, which seems pretty pointless as we have soft water around here.

One or two (6 actually) jobs had accumulated over the festive period so I made out a list in order to remember them.

On reading said list I was amazed to see that all 6 jobs began with the letter C.

Now here is a pointless question - what are the odds on that happening?

I can confirm that the list was not contrived in any way.

Supermarkets don’t stock items they can’t sell-yes, that’d be pointless. They obviously do sell👍🏻😊

Although it's some years since I taught probability, I believe the answer to your question is (1/26)^6 - but since the answer would be a very small decimal there'd  be a point in it so it doesn't really belong in this thread does it?! wink

Must  be to tourists, those of us who have been tourists in HW areas, or people who have just moved here, as nobody who has lived here for a while would need such products.

I should think the overall demand is very low.
