What are you all up to

All the decorations are down and, surprisingly, packed away in the Box Room. The two real trees are in the garden, and I’m taking bets how long it will be before they’re moved on.
My husband surprised me yesterday by doing something he doesn’t usually do - suggested a Birthday present for his twin brother. I’ll get him buying Christmas presents next year!
And tonight, after what seems like weeks of catering for others, we’re having a Takeaway. No delivery though, we have to collect. I know I could make it in the time, but just for today, that’s not the point!

Sunny but very cold here. I have just taken down and packed away the Christmas lights, and have spent some time making a salt bowl with lid as my project for my wood turning club meeting tomorrow.
OH is not feeling great, her cough is worse so she did not get much sleep last night.

Malcolm, your wife must enjoy shopping at supermarkets, 4 hrs yesterday at Asda and 5 hrs tonight at Tesco! - how much food do you need?
It begs the question why doesn't she get a job there? just think of the benefits - pay and employees discount ,definitely a Win/Win

We started clearing out the cupboard under the stairs today but got totally distracted by finding a box full of our old vinyl and even 78 records. Bill Haley, Tommy Steel, Stefan Grappelli, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald - all our yesterdays

Just wondering Malcolm if your fuel costs include driving from where the smart car was parked to Alderstead Heath then back to Shoreham / Worthing for work and then the return journey to AH then another return journey to Shoreham in which case that might explain the £21.60 tank top up as this is over 160 miles (excluding any delivery mileage)
Just curious really. Obviously, as someone has stated, the bulk of the mileage is private mileage not work related, if that is the case.

I'll try to be quick!
Another glorious sunny Cornish day although with a bitingly cold wind. It's staggering to seek how some of the local beaches have had their shape changed by the recent storms. We went to Crantock beach this morning. For those who know the area, this picture shows where there used to be a gentle sand slope leading down to the beach, just along from the lifeguard hut. It's now a vertical sand cliff the best part of 30 feet high!

Yes, they've also got a steep sand cliff in front of them. And the river that runs down onto Perranporth beach has changed course so that the little footbridge ( what's left of it) is virtually useless at the moment and you have to wade through the water to reach the main beach, or divert to the path from the other end of the high street. On the local news it said they'd be bringing in diggers to divert the river back to its normal course but that might take some weeks - good job it's low season right now!
