Hi People

Hope you all had a great christmas and new year.

I am looking to find out the design name of the fabric in my Swift Lifestyle 480 SE 2003 and if possible the best place to get it. I am looking at making up a new cushion to replace the end storage unit.

I have attached a photo hoping that one of you helpful people out there can point me in the right direction. Please ignore the dog.

Cannot help with the fabric myself, but would suggest you head to the Swift forum SwiftTalk and ask on there, Swift have staff that answer queries.

If you can't get an exact match, why not pick out one of the colours in the fabric, make the base and back cushions from that, and then make a couple (or more) small cushions in the same fabric to tie the scheme together.

Lots of options here:  Fabric Shop - but unfortunately nothing exactly the same as your fabric.

Or ask Regal Furnishings who specialise in caravan upholstery if they have any of the fabric, or even know what it is called.

We took our cushions out, and replaced them with a central chest!  I made side cushions to fill the gap, between the existing cushions and the chest, using a very similar fabric, and it looks great now!

What size cushions do you need?  We have the set we took out of our caravan!

    Hi ValDa

The sizes i need are Seat Cushion 25" wide x 18" deep x 7" thick and  Back Rest 25" wide x 12.5" high x 5.5" thick. Hope these measurements make sense.

    Ignore the dog? Certainly not!

Sometimes the name of the upholstery supply company is on a label on the underside of the cushions, or on the inside of a zipped cover. That might be a starting point.

May I recommend not making your changes irreversible as p/ex-ing or selling your van could be more difficult if it’s non standard.

I'll check the size of our cushions next time we're in the van.  We did measure them when I tried to give them away, but can't find the measurements!

As someone who works with fabrics in the soft furnishing industry, I would very much doubt that it would still be available. Fabric, even the more basic ones, have become a 'fashion' item and the companies don't retain them on their range as long as they did in the past.

    Hi,

I was looking for some additional fabric and found this lady very helpful. Even though the upholstery had not been supplied by Belfield, she identified the manufacturer by photos of labels on the upholstery. Might be a bit of a long shot but send her some photos and see what happens.

My guess is that the fabric would probably not be now available, because of reasons stated above.  Personally I would just puch something that matched with the decor of the caravan.  I would doubt it would make any serious impact upon the sale of a van that is about 15 years old.  Just my opinion.
