All a little worrying. Although the manufacturers have known about it for months and have tried to stop leaks while they worked on patches, it has now become general knowledge. Most devices utilising current operating systems, seem to be mostly protected. However, for those of us with models only capable of running older versions of Android, iOS, Windows etc it is not as clear when these updates will be forthcoming.

    The link works on Chip Scare 2, which I started as this one just returned  server error. 

    Probably best to use that thread for any replys  and perhaps a moderator could close this one.

    Apple is the Latest manufacturer to report a huge number of their products being at risk.   The Apple fix might slow the devices down, but users of older Apple equipment will be used to that happening in an effort to get their customers to buy their latest devices. wink
