Search by Map
Hi Looking at C&MC website > UK Holidays > Search by Map, can only view Club sites and CL's by small specific input areas.
Was expecting to enter Scotland and view all Club sites and CL's online, like the paper UK map.
Is this how the online map works or am I missing something?
Thanks

Try using search by map on UKCampsite.co.uk instead. You can see sites from both the Clubs, most CS and CLs, and independent commercial sites as well - all on the one map

I can get it to work for the whole country and zoom in an out for club sites only. However, as soon as you select CL's the amount of data overwhelms it and the map locks up. The only way is to do as you have done and select a smaller area.
For me it has always worked like this.

The whole CL search and Book area of the web site is a disaster. I tried searching for The Plough at Sturminster Newton, and the resulting map was centred around Northampton and didn't list the site. If you search for it as a CL, The Plough appears first in the List. Clicking on it to find out the details ends you up having to log In again, even though the page header indicates that you are already logged in. To show how well organised the C&MC Club is, this CL was listed on p44 of the Nov 2017 Magazine as having closed down. So why id it appearing in a search?
Now try a Map Search for Holly Heights. It shows up in the drop down list but if it is selected and then you click on Search, the resulting map is centred around Southampton and not Beccles. And the CL doesn't even appear in the list of the 27 location(s) within 20 miles of 'Holly Heights'.
Cob Tree Caravan Park doesn't exist either. See photo.
The C&MC Club web team really need to pay attention to getting things right. My boss once told me that if I sent a letter out to customers to give them information, if ever there was a call about the clarity or meaning of that letter, then the whole post would have to be rewritten and resent and with an apology by me personally for not taking care to get things right in the first place.
Or is it that it's just me...
