Visiting the Purbeck Hills
The fourth pitch of our 2014 tour was at St Leonards Farm CL, Corfe Mullen in Dorset. This site is ideally placed for walking on the Purbeck Hills so during our stay we ventured out to explore some new walks.
There are parts of Purbecks where access is limited because of MOD training facilities so walking around Tyneham needs to be well planned, but catch a good day and the views are stunning and the area is very tranquil. Just remember to follow the warning signs and don't venture off the paths. Click here for the link to our walk from Tyneham.
Corfe Castle is a must visit location and a great place to start a walk. The walk along the ridge to Swanage provides great views of Poole Harbour and the surrounding area. Our walk from Corfe Castle can be found here.
Equally stunning is the area around Kimmeridge and we spent a pleasant couple of hours on a circular walk from there that included a visit to Corfe Castle. Details of that walk can be found here.
For those who are not as keen as us on walking there is plenty of things to do in this stunning part of Dorset.

It must be lovely to be able to walk that far. Unfortunately the onset of osteoarthritis some years ago does rather limits you to much shorter walks. Having said that it's a good idea of linking to the maps and descriptions of the walks which I am sure many will find very useful. If it were at all possible I think I would encourage you to post the maximum number of photographs, as they say a picture is worth a thousand words
