CL Matchmaker - Find your 2018 CL holiday

CL owners recognise that it can be difficult for members to find their ideal CL, so why not let the CL Owners Group (comprising over 400 CL's) assist you in finding the perfect CL for your 2018 holiday?  Provide us with your requirements and contact details, and we will endeavour to find you some CL's that meet your needs. 

CL Owners who believe they match your requirements will then be back in touch with you by email with details of their site and availability.

This is a something of a test and 'special offer' and initially only available to the first 10 member enquiries.  If it goes well, we might extend / adapt the offer, but we'd like to test this as an idea and see if it works for both members, CL Owners and is practical to deliver.  We are asking for a 4-night minimum stay.  

Complete this short form by clicking the link below and we'll try and match you with a CL.  You will need to confirm that you are a current CAMC member, that you are happy for CL Owners to contact you and that your request is for a stay of at least 4 nights.

    Great idea. I might just give it a try for early in January.

     Wonder if a Mod can make it a sticky.

    I like the idea and hope it takes off Nicolla.

    Checked form and a couple of errors. Not surprising in a new form. smile

    Note. If you do not tick these two boxes, your details will be Deleted User and the 'matchmaking' will not proceed.  I think there are three not two,

     

    Your requirements
    For example '20th July for 5 nights" or "early August for 10 nights"

    Example is duplicated from previous group above.

    Not critcising as I think the idea is very good.

     In the case of EHU for example no 230v in the outfit. In the case of Grass pitches - no intention to use grass etc I expect

    Just tried it for January 2018.  Looking forward with anticipation to responses.  This type of innovation is a way forward and other leisure organisation could perhaps learn from it.

    Thank you for your positive comments on this post....it's good to know we're thinking along the right lines!

    We now have 10 responses so thank you....you should start receiving information from prospective CLs shortly if you haven't already.

    As a group we hope to develop this idea on a bigger scale but it will take some thinking about!

    In that case it might be a good idea to include two more categories to entice some members

    Wardens - essential/ preferable etc etc 

    White pegs  - ditto

     I had 2 responses but due to an unexpected occurrence had to decline.  Will still go away but not as far.  Was impressed with the service.

    I've just posted a discussion about looking for a CL with grazing so this facility would have been great, shame I've missed it, sounded like a great idea!

    Can any one associated with this idea please explain the current situation, as the link supplied no longer seems to work?  I have tried to contact one of those that initiated the idea but with put any response.

    Nellie - the idea worked in principle, but in practice was rather labour intensive to administer.  We ran it for a limited 'Trial' period and helped around a dozen people find a CL. 

    The new data-protection rules, adds another layer of complexity to any future attempt.  For the moment I don't think we are in a position to repeat this. 

    An alternative - for those who are on Facebook - is to post your request on the CAMC Members Facebook group, which a growing number of CL's monitor.

    As the OP clearly stated, it was a trial limited to 10-12 responses .

    But how were any others who'd not responded initially but might have wanted to at a future date know what the situation was?
