As far as as I can see plenty of people are having their say on various topics, Brue.

If there’s a subject you don’t like, don’t respond as posting encourages interaction. As David says, if people don’t post responses, the issue will die.

I would be keeping a rather lower profile Malcolm,  there is this rule about the use of seasonal pitches  and you don't want to lose yours I reckon.....

USE OF OUTFITS ON SITE 4.1 Seasonal and Base Pitches are available for recreational purposes only and not for residential or business purposes.

I know you think you are using it for leisure, being there of course only when you are not working, but somehow I do not think that is the interpretation the Club had in mind when the rule was written!

Other people do use their vans on seasonal pitches as they have to be away working, but I would think they do actually have a genuine residential address elsewhere.

Presumably his wife is there for leisure as a club member. The pitches are not used for business purposes and I suppose that as long as the user moves every 21 days it is not residential use as such is provided for I suspect.

Just  had  a  quick  peep  at  RSPB Loch Garten  Video  link  to see  what's  eating  peanuts  in  the  Northern  Reaches. This  old  man  nearly  fell  off  his  seat  laughing  !!  A  rather  slender  warden  up  a  ladder  and  hugging  the  tree  with  one  arm  &  trying ( finally  with  success laughing )  to  attach  with  drawing pins ( Thumb  tacks  to  some  of  you  )  a  Christmas  message***.  Which  ever  R S P B  man  it  was  he  needs  congratulations  from  us  Members  for  braving  the  forest  in what  appeared  to  be  a  lightweight  looking  jersey  and  going  up  a  ladder  where  he  seemed  to  be  rather  nervously  hanging  on  surprised !!

***  Sadly  in  order  to  read  all  the  message  i'll  have  to  look  again  in  the  morning  'cos  top half  of  the  message  isn't  visible,  it's  blanked  out  by  the  cameras  lighting  system  !!  At  least  he  can  go  &  get  a  hot  drink  now--  Job  done.

Very heavy frost this morning but by mid morning the sky had clouded over and it was a bit warmer, relatively!!! I decided to get the motorhome out on the side of the house to wash off all the grime from our recent trip to Chatsworth. All looks a bit better now. Gasman arrived at around 1.30pm to service the boiler. Fortunately it passed muster for another year.

I do have a genuine residential address that is shared with my cousin. It is a large three bedroomed detached house with a driveway. That is my official residence and I have a tenancy agreement signed by him.

I do NOT, I repeat NOT do business on my seasonal pitch. My employer is in Lancing and has a premises for me to work from. I'm on their payroll just like other people who use club sites and have a job.

Sorry, Kj but what I'm doing is well within the club rules.

Absolutely right, EasyT. If I'm using my seasonal pitch for days out to visit places, which is what actually happens in our case, that is recreational use, end of story! Sitting inside the caravan watching wildlife from the window, birds, squirrels, foxes etc. can hardly be described as business or residential usage, can it?

You said in a previous post that the banks lend me money through credit cards etc. irresponsibly. Far from it! Their decisions are based on my credit rating and income less expenditure. They can see from my credit report that I have an excellent credit rating. Furthermore, with no rent or mortgage to pay, my disposable income is probably higher than people earning more than £30,000 a year. All payments are met on time and this shows in my record. I'm low risk and this is reflected in their relationship with me.

Woke to a hard frost this morning,  but has got warmer during the day, haven't been up to to much, as been at work. OH took friends car down for MOT  passed so she was pleased. Got OH to hand deliver a few cards for me, save me the walk.😄

Our motorhome looked pretty frozen this morning. We had  forgotten to drain down the taps and open them so OH has been out and sorted things.

Carol service in our village tonight but not up to going. Are we in for another cold night? Keep warm everyone.

Our caravan was absolutely filthy after our trip to Ferry Meadows  we went to collect a few bits from it last weekend but as it was freezing it didn't get a wash, waiting for it to warm up a bit.😉😉

Ours is dirty on the outside too  Not only can I not find the time to get to it to clean It, but, I also haven't got the inclination - weather not really conducive to it!  smile

One day some bright spark will invent a wash/clean fluid that gets rid of green algae for 10 years or so.

That will make cleaning the van/MH a pleasure, particularly if it is 20 degrees C, or so, and the sun is shining.

We'll be going away to Baltic Wharf CMC site tomorrow, Thursday 21st December for two weeks. We're hoping it will stay dry whilst we take the awning down and pack it away, ready for use when we get to Bristol.

This will mean another trip back to the house address to swap the Smart car for the Shogun before hitching up to go. So the Smart car will remain parked at the home address for the two weeks that we are away, ready to collect once again when we return.

Just one question! Has anyone tried using their satnav to get to the Baltic Wharf CMC site? Can it be done or will it take me down roads that are unsuitable for towing?
