Previously, it was pointless for me to get cash from ATMs because all my payments were by card but that has changed, now that I'm staying on a CL and have to pay the site fees in cash.

Can't you pay them by bank transfer? You would not have to locate the owner then, you could just transfer the appropriate amount every week. It might seem silly, as I use all other types of computer banking, but don't like ATM's.

He comes every week to collect but often at different times or days depending on the weather. I get some cash everyday from work because they pay the 80 pence drop rate in cash, so I use this to pay but still need to supplement it by cash withdrawals from the ATM.

Out of interest Malcolm do you have company on the site at anytime? If you don't it would be pointless not to have rowdy parties. We on CT are all waiting for an invite 😉

I thought it was a pre-requisite that all ATMs found outside supermarkets would be facing straight into the direction that any sun would be coming from so that you couldn't see a blessed thing when trying to read the screen. It always seems that way to me.

Yes, Bakers2. There are four other caravans here. Five altogether including ours but ours is the only one with an awning.

Good morning, campers! Wakey, wakey, rise and shine! It's time for you to start posting to let us know what you're up to this morning! It's 9 a.m. and no-one else has posted anything on here yet today!

This thread definitely seems to have gone into hibernation. It's 13:30 but no posts today yet!

It's pretty pointless my posting - as we do very little caravanning (not entirely by choice) and there's no point in posting just for the sake of it, and boring the pants off people with an inane litany of dreary day to day stuff.

Off to read a good book!

This was never actually a daily diary thread was it?! We don't need waking up in the morning unless it's really really interesting and worth waking up for.....laughingwink

If you find yourself here and no-one is posting look elsewhere on CT..wink

"What are you all up to" seems pointless today.

Weather mixed for last day in Norfolk so both ladies opted for shopping. As the word Handbags was mentioned I duly spent a lot of time in coffee shops reading the paper. Pretty pointless except ladies happy so I'm happy (but wallet isn't).

brue as I've posted on what are you doing today thread. It has been proven to exist. I heard it on The Today progamme on radio 4 so it must be right.

9h was it fake news? Could fake news exist very close too home? Pointless to speculate!

Now here is the thing about 'man flu' -because we are blokes, with stronger constitutions, when we get the flu, we tend not to hang about in bed for three days or so.

On the odd occasion that we do stay there for three days, it is to enjoy a well earned rest from our labours and get a bit of TLC.

    So now you know.

They used to be called "parking lights", as their purpose is to light your car when parked, not really to drive with.

Staggered around a couple of shops this morning, met up with daughters partner and visiting dog in Costa, daughter and partner going to see Ben Waters playing locally this week. Partner out playing music on Saturday....his description of one of those corporate Christmas events where  no-one hears the music, quite a few falling over on the floor...as long as he gets paid well, I'm happy. cool

Back to the cold medication now, staying in and keeping warm.

You never see anyone using them in that way though, Kj. People turn off their lights completely when parked or risk running down their car battery, if left on all night, to the extent that the car might not start in the morning.

KjellNN  clearly  stated  " used  to  be  called  "  Malcolm.  It  was  even  legal  to  use  those  tiny  red / white  lamps  that  could  be  hooked  over  your  drivers  side  window.  Totally  useless  except  in  visibility  of  90%  or  better,  but  still  legal.  I  fixed  such  a  light  above  the  Offside  Trafficator  mounting  on  my  A35  van.  but  nowadays  provided  you  are  facing  the  correct  way,  15  yards  from  a  corner  &  in  a  30 MPH area  I  believe  No Lights  is  perfectly  legal  but  I  stand  here  waiting  to  be  corrected  on  that  !!undecided
