Hi all,  is there anyone else not happy about having to give out information to a survey site in order to enter. Also I have no idea if my entry was submitted or not - a poor site to me

Hi Tinwheeler, I got emails from CAMC inviting me to enter their Festive Friday Competitions. I'm surprised you haven't had them. Now I'm wondering if it is a scam. Sorry for delay in reply, took me ages to work out how to be able to send a reply🙄

Ooops I will answer the question correctly. When I entered reply to the question in the competition page jumped straight to survey

It's not a scam, it's under 'Offers/Competitions' at the top of this page. But they do need a lot of personal info, and I would give it a miss especially as in the 'terms' they could pass on your details.

On saying that the details they want is already held by the promoter who seems to be the Club itself. undecided

I opt out of club mails and never complete surveys that want personal info.

I took one look and decided as usual not to enter. I consider it a form of harvesting personal information.

I vale been entering and was not asked for any info apart from membership number, name and address. And there is a tick box to opt out of marketing.

I never had an email, just accessed via “membership” then “competitions”

Likewise, I opt out of everything offered.

Have you noticed with opting out, not necessarily with the Club how you have to be very careful when reading beside the 'Opt in/out' tick boxes. On the same page you have to tick to opt out of various things, and then they change the wording and the next one you have untick or leave clear to opt out.

Filling out lengthy surveys for a chance to win a prize I wasn't interested in - nah.
