Are we treated differently?

As Caravan & Motorhome owners do you think we are treated differently by some companies?

I ask this out of interest, as this morning I was going to phone the Whale support line with question about my Whale 13L water heater. It was when I looked on their website that I noticed that the Caravan & Motorhome support telephone number is the only product support line that has a 0845 number frown

Anyone come across this sort of thing with other companies ?

I Looked and found there was another service for level access and shower that also had an 0845 number.  However the caravan number is manned for 5.5 days with voicemail support for the other 1.5 days all 9-5 so you could say you are paying to call an 0845 rather than national number but there is more support.

Not sure of the cost differences between a national number and 0845 but I guess if you need urgent support you would pay.

0845 numbers are local rate numbers but are slowly being replaced by the 03 series of numbers, which also have some local rate charges.

These numbers are used in business for customer service etc instead of a totally free call number such as 0800.

And the 03 numbers are also part of your inclusive minutes - at least they are on Vodaphone.
