Did anyone else watch the second series of this drama which came to an end last night?

I'm not always keen on these drama series which are shown over several weeks, but this was something special. Very sympathetic treatment of a not very well understood condition focusing both on the autistic boy Joe himself and the effect it had on his wider family.

Brilliant scripts, a great cast and, in particular, Christopher Ecclestone's humorous performance as the head of the family.

Great stuff! Hopefully there will be a third series on the way. smile

    We've watched both series and thought they were very good, Joe is something special smile

    I watched both series and really enjoyed them. The little lad who plays Joe is wonderful. smile Hoping we get a third series.

    Truely wonderful scenery too although distance between places and localities seems not to matter as far as continuity of storyline is concerned.

    We have enjoyed both series although sometimes hard to watch as you can feel for both the lad and the family. I don't know where they find their locations for this type of series but it was truly stunning. Beyond young Joe ( an inspired performance) I did enjoy  Christopher Ecclestone's  relationship with his lady friend highly amusing.

    Mainly locations around The Lake District, Cumbria some in Manchester.

    I imagined it was the Lake District, my musing was more towards how they actually find such locations. It seems that the location is as often as important as the story sometimes.

    Enjoyed watching this with a more professional eye!! Both my grandsons are autistic but nothing like Joe.  As they say if you've seen one autistic child you've seen one autistic child, its such a wide spectrum.  Even my grandsons are quite different, though both are in mainstream school.  Its good to have programmes like this showing something thats far more common than some realise, especially the affect on parents and the rest of the family.  Well worth watching the Chris Packham documentary, absolutely fascinating seeing it from an articulate autistic point of view.
