It looks good from the website, nice pictures also very reasonable prices and a bit lower cost for a winter booking. I'm sure they'll do well!

At the moment, I'm sitting in the Mercedes Benz service department reception, a nice bright spacious room with a complimentary cup of coffee to drink. It makes a change from sitting in the caravan!

After a bit of rain last evening the laying snow on the foot paths and side roads are lethal as it then froze overnight, there were quite a few people and cars "waltzing" to work?surprised when Rosa and I were out this morning at 0730

I hope the problem, whatever it is, gets sorted, JVB66. Hopefully, they won't keep you waiting for too long. At least your internet connection is working well enough for you to post on here.

We were in Portsmouth yesterday for my wife to get her biometrics done at the Post Office there. Unfortunately, they couldn't scan the bar code from her Iphone so we'll have to get it printed up from the email or get the original document from the visa solicitor and go back there again tomorrow.

I did not read that JVB66 was complaining about an unknown happening, that was ADD46 !

I've just been told by the service department that two of the tyres are worn and need changing, cost just over £233. The remainder of the service is covered by the service contract. I didn't think tyres got worn that quickly. I've only done 11,500 miles total!

Miserable day here, again, off back to the guide hall to assemble table storage trolleys.

At least it is not so cold out, so the ice should be gone.

That explains it. I quoted the wrong person! Like you say, it was ADD46 complaining about BT and having to wait too long on the phone plus extra time for a call back from them!

I had an ongoing problem with BT so used one of the templates on money saving expert to complain, all sorted within 48hrs.  BT called me with in 2 hours of receiving the emailed template.

We use Tesco mobile and EE so wouldn't know anything about how to deal with BT.

The bill for my tyres looks rather expensive though but at least it will mean more Tesco Clubcard points for using my Tesco credit card!

Another 45 minutes to go now and hopefully, it will all be ready. Then back home to our caravan for lunch!

I think they see you coming Malcolm, my CRV tyres are only about £125 each and usually last between 25/30k miles and 90% of that is towing.  Do you kerb the tyres a lot and have you checked the tracking.

Yes, doing deliveries does mean having to kerb the tyres a lot, Oneputt. I expect they'll do the tracking when they change the tyres today. If its £233 for two tyres that would mean about £116 for each tyre. So it looks like the tyres will have to be replaced every twelve months.

Our dental practice has its own car park right next to reception so not far to walk to get there. If yours is the same, it should only be a few steps, so presumably safe enough as long as you're careful, ABM, especially if temperatures are well above freezing!

Our present this Christmas is a two week holiday at Baltic Wharf club site for just the two of us, so nothing more to buy or wrap this Christmas! No lists either, for us, you'll be glad to know! We'll be enjoying the two week break from work though!

After that, it will be back to Lancing Fruit Farm either 4th or 5th January. Then it will be another 10 weeks until March 16th when we can occupy our seasonal pitch at Northbrook Farm club site.

I’m feeling a bit smug as I wrapped all the presents yesterday (that’s early for me). Plus a Lucky Dip with various stuff I bought with no particular person in mind. That will make its first appearance this weekend.

Our son and family will be here at the weekend, so I’ve had a quick check round the spare bedrooms. But they won’t all be needed as son and granddaughter are camping out as part of a Scouting challenge!

Woken by heavy rain during the night. It has and continues to rain persistently, positively tropical outside 5.6c 😲. Most of the snow has washed away but there are still a few pockets in the garden, what my dad would describe as waiting for some more 😲. That does look possible from the forecast.

Spent the morning making mince pies but had a long phone call from a family friend who's in her 90's and blind so have got behind! I'll cook them this afternoon so they can have a bit longer cooling down before going into the oven. Just a fruit cake, semi rich and uniced to make. Cards distributed, presents wrapped, few decs up, very early for us but will be down 26th or 27th at the latest. Feel I might have it under control 😂😂.

Really want to meet the idiots who booked to leave the country just after Christmas 😂 didn't think about it thoroughly in May or swayed by the cost? As well as the family who want to visit and eat Christmas Day. Never mind it's what makes family life - I think 😉.

Calmed myself down a bit by trying on summer clothes - yes I can still get in them 😆 and have now put them altogther.

Enjoy your day folks stay warm and dry.

Nothing at all wrong with escaping the cold and wet of the UK- we'll be escaping ourselves in 5 weeks laughing

My version of the lucky dip will be two lots of pass the parcel, due to the youngsters on Christmas Day (including the young at heart.wink) and another lot on Boxing Day.

Today was indoor decorating day plus a few more bits outside, this is the point when boxes of lights appear and I can't suss out the colours and what goes with what....too many sets!

We saw a lovely Christmas concert last night, local community orchestra, lots of good music, Pirates of the Caribbean through to a White Christmas sing along finale.....well someone's got to do it haven't they. laughing

Nothing wrong with escaping cold and wet at all. Great that we'll be with our NZ family for new year 😆😍. But I wish there was a good Fairy to tidy up before we go. I don't like leaving it messy, and it won't be, when we leave. See you're talking 5 weeks I'm talking 2 clear days after 25th and a 5am start on 28th 😂😂😂. Still spring will be well on the way when we return 😉

Sounds like a wonderful concert 😆.

You wouldn't be decorating outside at all today.

Love to see the streets and houses pretty. We're not doing outsude this year but have a candle bridge in the window. Opposite they have coloured flashing lights in the window and blue flashing icicles from the guttering. Both very bright 😉.
