Booking a longish break

As a new member and both of us being retired I was looking forward to taking breaks whenever i fancied , Alas no such luck .

every site we have looked at it seems Friday/sat Sun Mon is booked up meaning we are reduced to Tues to Thurs , Do any members ever manage to book a two week break ?  We thought that caravaning was a relaxing go when you please holiday but it looks like you have to have the year planned out and be on line as soon as you can book, for this reason and  the high prices of pitches (some we think extortionate ) we will not be renewing our membership.

    Plenty of sites available ....... maybe not the bank hols though. You seem to be unlucky with where you wish to go. If you said where to then you might get some suggestions!
