What do you really want for Christmas?
Ideally I would get a machine that records TV programmes but omits the advertising breaks.
Thus I would end up with a neatly stitched together prog. without the banality.

I'm in the lucky position of not needing anything. I'm warm and have sufficient to eat and drink and have my health - fingers crossed 😉. I'm looking forward to spending time with our daughter and her family in New Zealand soon after Christmas, so you could say that's my Santa wish along with our son arriving Christmas eve to spend a couple of days with us. Everything I want in family thankfully.

Our children ask this every year and we always say we need little or nothing.
Generally they give us something alcoholic, not sure that that is good!
OH always says she would like someone to come in and blitz the house, but never gets her wish.

Someone to come and do a make over in my garden to make it easier to look after. But that one is for me.
If there was one thing that I would ask Santa for that would be that my Mum no longer had Dementia so she could see and remember all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

OH always says she would like someone to come in and blitz the house, but never gets her wish.
There's never a Dornier around when you need one.

My mum, late 80s, kept saying she didn't want presents but some help with cleaning the house and garden. I gave the house a blitz and then suggested we sort some storage areas, 'later'came the reply but later has never arrived 😲. She now has a cleaner 😂 to help for a couple of hours a week, as I think I made one (or more) suggestions too far! 60 plus years of our family home there's plenty to declutter especially when you add in raised in the war years 'so keep it it could be useful'.......... OH keeps garden under control for her and my bother is in charge of general maintenance for electric mechanical and oil things, thats his trade 😉. Sister in law is allowed to help with sort outs very occasionally. Brother does her food shopping I'm her personal shopper, so it' all under control😲😂

Ideally I would like all the children and grandchildren here for Christmas - but that's getting difficult (eldest Grandson working, and the Derbyshire contingent busy with sporting/scouting activities) - so there will just be ten of us.
(But never mind as they'll all be home for OH's surprise 70th birthday party in February, and then for his really really secret present from me in April). But I digress.

Nothing really. Our children usually get together and buy us theatre tickets. If the boss wants to get me something, I could do with some socks.

Oh No! Not socks again!
My family and friends have been expressly forbidden to give me socks.
I still have a drawer full that are in their original wrappers from 5 yrs. ago.
My suspicion is that they will still be there when I've kicked the bucket.

Mrs M looks at me and says "are we buying each other anything this year?" I know I'm on to a loser - if I say yes I then get earache about not making it clear what I want, if I say no, I get the silent sulky treatment. What's a guy to do?

We have treated ourselves to an airport lounge for our trip. We've used them before - very civilised 😉. Papers, unlimited food, free wifi and a facial session if you book in quickly as you walk in. No hubbub ☺
You could suggest this for your trip. No wrapping, no knowing what to buy and no rolling of eyes 😂
