I appreciate your cautionary comments and I cannot reply in detail as it would be far too long and boring.  Suffice to say that we have thought it all through very carefully and are confident that we are making the right choice. Holiday houses and hotels hold no appeal for us in the slightest as our love is quiet sites away from the crowds in SW France - each to his or her own.  We are looking forward to being able to travel with everything on board including water/waste facilities so that coffee and food on the journey are a simple matter.

    Many thanks for your interest.

All I can say is that it worked for us. After giving the matter deep thought we analysed the problems and considered a MH would eliminate most of them.

Where we differed from you, Q, was by buying a 3 year old MH which reduced the outlay by around £20-£25k and lessened the financial risk. However, as I said, it worked for us. Now we've applied the same consideration to our latest downsizing but were confident enough to buy new this time.
