Have you ever used a paintless dent removal guy?
Hi all. I ask this as I had occasion with my 22 year old Toyota Surf tow car to search for a paintless dent removal guy. I didn’t want to take her in and spend hundreds on resprayed wings etc. She had a few little dings which, although not drastic, annoyed the bejesus out of me, particularly when I had washed and waxed it- it just took an edge off my hard work. Enter Carey who runs ‘Body Poppers’ at Kettering. Apart from having a brilliant name for his business this guy is a magician. He set about 3 little dings on the top of the near side wing, some more on the rear wing and a couple behind the spare wheel carrier. With rods and soft hammers, glue pads and pullers he achieved what I didn’t believe possible. Perfection. The dings are completely gone! I still have to go to the car to make sure I’m not dreaming! You would never know that a dent had been there. I can thoroughly recommend this type of repair. Then I got to thinking- caravans are notoriously easy to dent- has anyone used someone like Carey on their ‘van??

I agree Ocsid that access would be non existent on a caravan but I wondered if the glue and pull method had been successful at all? I know you can get ‘dent kits but as you say, in the wrong hands you could cause more problems than you solve!

I have been fortunate in not needing to have to deal with a serious dent and certainly nothing that has punctured the skin of the van. On the odd occasion I have managed to cause slight imperfections I have used the age old trick of covering the offending imperfection with a reflector or decal.
