Powrtouch mover - weight
I recently purchased a caravan with a "Powrtouch Evolution Auto" motor mover fitted. So far so good, it works fine and I'm pleased with it. What I would like to know, and what the manufacturer Powrwheel are unable or unwilling to tell me, is the weight of the product i.e. how much is it eating into my payload. Their website gives the weight as "from 32kg" but this is meaningless. I've emailed them but have received no reply. I've spoken to someone on their support line and he didn't know the answer but promised to get back to me, which he hasn't. I had one more try this morning and gained the clear impression that this is information that they are not prepared to reveal. Goodness knows why.
Ok, I can make a guess and reckon it weighs between 32 and 34kg. Does anyone happen to know the actual weight?

I had the motor mover fitted but the manual one so the auto I take as a little heavier. I had them delivered to my home ready for engineer to fit at home so weighed the two boxes and the total was 36.7kg. mine are just 2 movers but heavy duty as twin axle. the only way would be to remove and weigh or empty caravan and take van to weigh bridge and then weigh every single item you travel with in the caravan. then check this against your mtplm.

MB, if you assume 35kg you won’t be far adrift. I’d settle for that.

I am not convinced that a spreadsheet with all the weights of your individual payload items will give you an accurate enough result given the likely variance in the manufacturers quoted MIRO. As others have said, the only sure way is a weigh bridge. Load the van up and weigh it. You only need to do it once.
