hi people

i am going to look at a 2003 avondale tomorrow it has the perfect layout for us fixed bed at rear and L shape lounge at the front  i currently have a 2004 elddis avante converted 5 berth to a now fixed bed. the bed is a little on the small size hence looking for a proper fixed bed.

what are peoples view on the deal would you trade the elddis for the avondale or not? i will be checking for the obvious damp cracked panels ect it does look a nice clean usable van but so is my elddis

cheers

steve

I'm off to look at an Avondale tomorrow too!  We've just sold our 5 berth Rialto, just because we wanted something bigger, so we're after a 6 berth one.

Personally I'd sell the Elddis yourself, as you'll get a better price.

    Good luck with the viewing

We had a Avondale Dart 6 berth from 2003 till 2011 and as a caravan (ie living and towing) it was a really good caravan, easy to tow and comfortable to live in. All the towing and living bits worked well. It did have problems with cracked rear panels which happened three times and were repaired under warranty. In it's final two years with us it did develop damp and hence we sold it. If the one you are looking at has lasted this long and no damp then as caravan it will serve you well.

Oddly enough we still see it as it is stored in the same storage place as our current van and goes out quite regularly.
