Just had a quick look and price for September seems to be £25 not £30 as mentioned. Not sure if you then take the £1 discount off.
Wonder if those members who wouldn't want the club to start taking deposits will put that aside and use this site?

You have to pay for what you want, and you do not have to pay if you do not want them.this club should take note not every body requires elec, not every body wants an awning, some have no kids, some even have no dogs, rant over just think you should only pay for what you need.

It's not a wind up. It's a calculated multi million pound investment by a private company. The Club has lost/will lose two sites in the area (Much Wenlock and Bromyard Downs) and has gone into AS partnership with a local caravan dealership who are expanding into the Leisure Market. It's not and never will be a Club Site. Some will love it, others will not. Depends on the preferences of the individual. Vive la difference!

Just to update anyone who is interested. We've decided to try this site for a few days this week. We are really impressed.
Lovely view of the Wrekin from our front window. Outdoor hot tubs, lake (kayaking), huge children's play area away from the caravans. Gym and fitness, football pitch (well away from caravans), Spa. Outdoor ovens, cooking area. Pizza oven with fresh pizzas on site. Each pitch is hardstandings with water hook-up, drain away and chemical disposal point. Pitches large. Wi-Fi included in pitch price. £20 a night at this time of the year, but Caravan and Motorhome members get £1 reduction per night. Very professional set up.
The toilet block is 'state of the art'. Automatic taps and toilet flush. Large toilet and shower compartments (really wet rooms), babies bath. There is also a dog shower and a separate CDP machine where you can pay £4 for automatic emptying.
The whole site is spacious with some great views over towards the Wrekin. There is some road noise, but it didn't bother us too much. Next door to and owned by Salop Caravans. We will certainly return. I'll try and put up a few photos...

Had a look on Google Earth and I can't see any transport links from near the site, do you know if there are any?

That’s really useful David we have been looking at this for a short stay/weekend and nice to see a review other than on website.

David, just did a quick GM route for bikes to Shrewesbury...15 mins
turn left put of site to roundabout, left at roundabout onto B4380 (has dedicated cycle path), cross mini roundabout, pass Co-Op and join disused railway line and continue towards Shrewesbury following well signed and tracked route.
DSB, thanks for the heads up, site not unlike Concierge Camping (Chichester) for quality and concept....we will give it a try....
and £19....come on CC, check out the competition...

Thanks for the info BB but unfortunately cycling is not the answer at present for us. I think if we were to return to Shrewsbury I think we would use this site again as it's so convenient for the Park and Ride. OK its one of Morris Leisure's older sites but facilities compare well with the average CMC site. If we were passing through en route to elsewhere I think curiosity would be a good enough reason to give Love2Stay a try.

The answer is No and Yes!! There are no washing cubicles in the main toilets, but there are family washrooms in the central section between the men's and ladies. I think you probably have to pay a supplement to use these as my swipe card wouldn't let me in.
I'll put up some more photos soon.

Photo 2 & 3: Shower compartment
Photo 4: View from the toilet block.
The washroom/toilets also have a disabled cubicle and a baby changing area and bath (men's, but I guess the ladies is the same)
By the way, Wi-Fi is good and is included in the pitch price.

Hope these photos help someone. TBH we booked the site out of curiosity and I'm glad we did. As Peedee mentioned, I wouldnt mind betting that the pitch price goes up for weekends and even more for school holidays and other peak times. I certainly don't mind £19 for a weeknight in November.
The site certainly has other extra ways of making money, but they are all optional extras and IMHO not essential. As all pitches are full serviced hardstanding, we tend to use the 'van for washing/ shower etc.

I recall that there were cubicles that had a wash basin along with a water closet. but I didn't think of looking at the sign on the door.
Both the "gents" and the "ladies" are each split into two sections by the wall behind the open-to-all wash basins, and the roller shutter door at either side of the wall. These are closed at cleaning time(s) so that one side can always be open for use. I think the combined facility cubicles were only on one side though.

This site is listed as £28 a night in the handbook. It seems from posts on here that the cost per night is variable. It is not a site I even considered because of the seemingly high cost, but it would have been convenient during a drive down the M6. I wonder how many others have dismissed the site without further investigation because of the cost in the handbook?

I checked the price for a couple of nights in April £32 and June £34 for the 2 of us and 1 dog 🐕, but still fancy giving it a go if we can get booked onto our preferred non club site in Devon.

If you fancy trying L2S, best take a look at their website for special offers, which don't seem to be obvious on L2S information via this website. I have just looked and made an imaginary booking enquiry for three midweek nights in December, and for two adults, two dogs has come up with £20 per night. Given all the facilities and activities on the site, and the location with all the interesting places to visit and proximity to Shrewsbury, makes this a rather attractive Winter option for us! I doubt you will get the £1 per night CC member discount on those prices, but it's still good value. Extraordinary value if you do get the discount!

That is excellent news David! Compares quite favourably with some CLs I must say, especially if you compare the amenities on site. We wouldn't like it at busy times or without the discount, but could be rather tempted! I doubt I would venture into the pool, but the cycling and dog walking and cinema sound good! (Cinema is extra!)
