We are currently dealing with an overturned caravan on the A590 Meathop roundabout (East Bound) and lane 1 is blocked off, approach with caution - colleagues working at the scene #Highways #Traffic #Cumbria

Delays are only an inconvenience to the rest of us but injuries, or worse, are catastrophic to those involved.

It looks to be about half way down the first stretch of Lindale Hill, before the bend. Possibly the outfit was going too fast, it's not difficult to do going down there. There have been quite a number accidents around there.

Passed the scene to day on the way home. We could see damage to the left hand barrier half way round the long curve.

That's a part of the route that I'm always careful to keep my speed down on when towing.
