That's misdirected isn't it? Complain, blame the Staff? Surely not! surprised

I'd bet it won't be them causing the problem. Surely it is more about informing and reporting those members who are causing the problem to the staff. The difference is attitude we adopt and the role each and every fellow member plays in our club. It's also about us all keeping to the rules and guidance and helping the wardens who are also members.

However, it's only a minority who disrespect 'our' rules I reckon but they do need educating or possibly suspending if they fragrantly choose to ignore the membership responsibility that comes with joining.

"Fragrantly" - they must be talc users too!

Sorry, MickySF, because you're making a serious point but I couldn't resist.

You may have missed my point, it was the use of blame and who it is aimed at that I had issue with.

The blame falls squarely with the purportrators. The consequence is the issue for me. It's too easy in life generally to blame the wrong people, it's an easy way out.

Yes, be critical and complain if staff be absolutely nothing about it and broken rules are ignored but to misdirect blame is unhelpful and hardly a helpful attitude in my opinion. In fact, counter productive I'd think as some will just use them as an excuse for not abiding my the membership rules and a ticket to do their own thing.

David - I don't look on it as helping myself. It's more helping folk who sometimes inadvertently post comments on the wrong section of the forum.

    It's a service I provide - no charge! wink

It was the mention of charging for dogs in euros that surprised me David. I hadn't realised any UK Sites did that! wink

Does it matter where in Europe Campsites are properly controlled by the paid staff.  Chill out !

At least everybody would know that it could  Not possibly be a CMC campsite.

Its in our sykie to moan and the older you are the better you are at it. We try to restrict our moans to 6 before breakfast but listening to Radio 4 makes it very difficult most mornings.

We're at Ferry Meadows tonight and already we've spotted three 'moanables': an awning heater, an inflatable fish on a flagpole, and a multi-coloured led 15ft high mast! Hoping for a talcum powder shower experience in the morning.

To improve your chances of seeing the spoor of a talc user I suggest that you leave your ablutions until around 10.30 in order to reduce your chance of being disappointed. Good hunting and suggest that any camera shots you take of the sighting are limited only to the spoor and not the talc users themselves as they can be timid and easily spooked.

I don't think it's talc....................... I think it's the wardens spreading finger print powder around in order to cross-reference offending shower non-driers, or toilet abusers, with the finger prints they extract from your membership card.  Watch out....... if it was you, there will be a letter in the post!

When you raise prices, people's expectations rise with them. If those increased expectations are not met, people will moan. Negative feedback anywhere is always more common than positive anyway. If you have a grudge, you will make the effort to moan, if you are broadly content, you won't bother to give feedback.

Having said that, I was shocked today to find out that a pitch on one well-known Club site in Derbyshire would cost over £42.00 per night in May, for two adults and a small two-berth van and awning. At those rates, EVERYTHING would have to be absolutely perfect for me.

The Club makes the bed, they (and their staff) have to lie on it.

And which site might that be? Even Chatsworth is "only" £39:50 for a serviced pitch for 2 adults in the first week in May, and £34:60 for a standard pitch.
