Hi there Fisherman
Please click here for sites that offer a Mid Week Discount & further information about how the offer works.
Hope this helps.

Hi Fisherman,
Next year's pricing will be released on 6th December when we start taking bookings for 2018/19 (and rest assured we on the front line don't get to see the new prices/ offers until that date too!)
I cannot believe it is nearly that time of year again. It seems like 2 weeks ago the new Site Directories were sent out.
Thanks all
Helen

Are we getting a 2018 supplement this year rather than the online silly idea for 2016
Ps But if the sites directories had been sent out in 2016 instead of waiting until the min so far £1.4million "rebrand?"then would not seem so short a time scale

Hi JV
The supplement will be online again this year however you will be able to order a printed copy should you want one free of charge, same as you could in 2016.
The reason for this is due to costing, as not all of our members where utilizing them or didn't know what they where/assumed they where rubbish so would throw them away and order new ones.
By sending them out on request we know we will only be sending them to members who will be using them, want them and wont cause any confusion, thus keeping costs down so we don't have to recover these cost.Hope this helps, just give us a call and we will be more than happy to send one out to you when they are in print you can alternatively order one online.
Happy touring

If the supplement is just the list of site prices, with indications of MWD etc, as was issued last year. I assume they would only print off a limited quantity, until they see how many are requested. Personally I am happy with the PDF, as I am sure are many others. So although there will be additional, postage charges, those for printing are likely to be greatly reduced.

Dean, will they be including all the newly opened CLs in the supplement, as they will obviously not be in the Site Directory? This used to be the case when the supplement was sent to every member, as was the list of those CLs that had closed too.
It's pretty bad show for new CL owners if their sites are not given this additional plug!!

Requesting the printed information wasn't worth it last year, just umpteen sheets of A4 with price changes, nothing extra, no updates on new CLs.

Have you got a figure for the a amount of "extra supplements" that were asked for, or as seems with a lot of "information" that is posted from yourselves a bit of "pie in the sky"thinking/ hoping that we are gullible enough to accept it

I think it is good that the CAMC are prepared to send out a printed version, if required. We are living in an increasingly digital society and lack of hard copies it is almost certainly something that will increase.
At the moment the club provides print outs of the days out guide on request. But for how much longer?
I am very surprised the CAMC have not offered a membership option without the site guide, at a reduced cost. As I seldom refer to ours, it is certainly something I would be interested in. Since the release of the app, which can be set offline, we never take ours away with us.

I was not asking for prices but the location of the mystery new "Mid week Discount" sites or changes from the 44 mentioned in 2017.If they were able to say in last months Mag that there were 50 they must know the locations why not say which ones they are on the site> Simples

The suppliment with all the latest site updates plus the following years prices that was also designed the same size but much thinner than the previos year sites directory, always sent out with the magazine so basically no add cost as it would be all part of the contract with the postal company as is all the junk mail that arrives with it

Redkite, thanks for that info....I wonder why those at HO have not come on here to say the same, perhaps they don't know!!
Edit. I've just looked on the What's On page but can't find the article....strange!
No word today from Dean about what's going to be included in the supplement! Perhaps because it's the weekend coming up they think that we will have forgotten all about our request for further info.

OOPS found it in here :- "Get ready to book your 2018 summer holidays!"
The 2018 Price Supplement will be available online from 15 November, look out for news announcing the full details.
Sorry for doubting you, Redkite.

I cannot believe the CaMC, are not, automatically sending out next years price lists, But send out Europeanholidays brochure to members who have requested not to receive them. They should be requested by members who want them. Price list weigh less.

No added cost of postage JVB. Just the cost of thousands of supplements that are not used. To me an online, downloadable supplement, that is available in printed format on request, makes total sense. Why waste money on printing thousands that are not really required and just thrown in the bin.

Agan and part of the basic service the club should provide to its members. They waste so much on trivia.Yes lets have it printed and the cost in the scale of things miniscule.and its a case of BASIC. Need an up to date price list with us in the van as we are tourists and not in touch with internet on holidays. Postage cost would be nil if included with the other irrelevant junk with Mag. By all means give discount on membership for those that opt out of paper.

Where are the figures that advise of thousands of "unused supplements"?as when they were not sent out for 2016 there was quite an outcry and not one of the people I know or spoke to was in agreement,we always use our site directory to check information, and prices and the supplement backed it up ,instead of the out of date sites directory
And as for cost? Since when has that been a concern with the club look at the £1,4m and rising that has so far been spent on the Re_brand for what effect?

They will provide it if asked. I fail to see that there is a problem. If they were refusing to do so, I would agree with you. Folk are always complaining on CT about wasting money. Yet saving the cost of a supplement, that many would be happy with online, is complained about.
I agree they waste money in other areas, but that is no reason to compound the failing.
As for having an up to date price list with us, it is available to download as a PDF and can be consulted on our phone or pad. Yes I know not everyone has this facility, but they are able to ask for a printed copy.

I could equally say where are the figures that they were not wasted. Also the outcry amounted to but a few people in the scheme of things. We are all just speculating and putting our point of view forward, as we have no hard evidence.
However, my view is. I am afraid we are going to have to face it JVB. We are moving into a digital age. I think many, me included would be happy with the majority of the club information in online and downloadable form. We now never take the handbook away with us. Even if there is no internet, the app works offline, so am able to check on final approach instructions to the next site. Although I do like the hard copy of the days out booklet, as it saves on printing vouchers.

When I last looked Steve they were providing a bundle of loose A4 sheets, poorly set out and single sided. Not exactly user friendly. If they would provide a decently formatted A5 (or similar) booklet on request then I might agree.
I also consider it poor that they cannot update the map on an annual basis.
