We have recently returned from a lovely stay at Incleborough Fields, West Runton, North Norfolk. It was not busy, great weather, lovely pitch location. All was good.

Until a campervan pitched up next door.  The elderly couple set up a tent/drive away awning, no issues there. Each evening, they then sat and watched TV in it, between their van and our caravan. We could hear it clearly over our TV with all windows/hatches shut.  We could not sit out and enjoy the tranquility.  First evening, I eventually had to say something, and they turned it down  some. The next afternoon/early evening back to full volume for hours. Our young dog became anxious at the constant noise.

My wife did not want a fuss, so we put up with it.  I wanted to say more!  I was surprised at how inconsiderate these people were.  Please could everyone learn from this, please be aware of how your own/kids/dogs/radio/TV noise can affect others.

This reminds me of an incident on a site some years ago. A family a few pitches down from us were all sat outside their caravan looking at a large cardboard box, it became apparent that inside the box was their television. They had taken their awning down earlier in the day. The box was to prevent glare from the sun. Certainly put a new perspective on watching the "box".
