We'd be interested in thoughts on these as we had them put on in the summer. On moving the van after standing for 2 months today, one started to flash. The tyre seems fine but we now find that the only way to stop it is to put it on another tyre or it goes flat & there is nothing to say you can replace the batter, so we presume it is then finished & you have to buy another! What a waste of money. We put it on other tyre & it still flashed but when we put the original back on that is fine, so there's money down the drain for nothing! Anyone advise a better alternative?

We also have the Tyre Pal system fitted to both car and van. Although clearly this is a much more expensive system, it does provide a readout inside the vehicle. It will also warn you if a tyre starts to deflate during the journey. This valve cap system only warns you when you stop, get out of the vehicle and check. By then it could well be too late.
Also with the valve cap system, it says they only self calibrate once. So not much good for your tow car, if you want to vary pressures when towing.
We have been happy with the performance of TP in use, but experienced 2 sensor failures in 18 months. One under warranty, the other at my cost. As the sensors cost £35 a time, I hope I don't get any more failures.
