Hi All

Has anyone thought about or has brought an Air Hawk Pro? thinking of getting one as sometimes its not always easy to get van next to the air pressure hose at some garages and thought this may be the best solution as it can be done on site or before you set off as I'm told it has a 150 PSI range on it for car/van tyres?

Anyone got any thoughts on the matter?

    Reading those reviews I certainly wouldn't buy one.

    How do the 12V compressors run from the cigarette lighter socket fare, by way of comparison?

    Lidl do one every now and again in there offers for about £13 does my tyres at 54psi OK and is fast. Although I cut the cigarette plug off and put a 12S plug on it so I can power it from my towbar socket.

    Hi All

    Hummmmm? just another product on the market that doesn't do what it says! But still stand by our other comment of some garages make it really difficult to get your van to a place where you can use their air hoses! perhaps they don't want us taking up so much space on the forecourts?

    Anyone out there got any other ideas (apart from the old foot pump) about how to inflate tyres on van when there's no access to electric or a house drive way to do it on?

    I must say I have never had any luck with 12v compressors as which every make I had tended to blow the fuse. I use an ordinary foot pump which I find works fine for me even with the much higher pressures in a motorhome. 

    I suppose the question I would ask is how often are you expecting to have to do more than adjust the tyres by a few PSI? For that a foot pump would be fine unless you have joint issues.

    Its a waste of time buying cheap compressors. I have been using one marketed by ITC for a number of years. Original cost about £30 but no longer available. It works for me.

    "Ring" are reputed to make good compressors as long as you buy one to do the pressures required.
