    I just wondered as we pay under 14p per kwh for our domestic electricity and I would guess the club, as a fairly big user would get reasonable rates. I can't remember how our business fuel rates ran when we worked but they were different.

    Unless we know the fuel costs for the club we are all guessing but I know at home we pay pence rather than pounds.

    Rest assured our EV probably won't be seen on a site but the conversation has been interesting. smile

    Or the sooner pitches are fitted with a metering system the better.

    Which after the infrastructure/ annual calibrating costs are put on the pitch fees will start another "how much" threadsurprised

    Business users also have to pay the  higher rate of VAT.  Depends I think on how much they use, there is a point at which they start getting charged the higher rate.

    Don't want to get in on that one Kj, we ran 3 phase at work and we had business rates, no doubt the club is similar. They would be budgeting well ahead too I hope. That's my last word on this subject. When we see more EVs and hybrids there will no doubt be more questions. smile

    I'm still looking into an electric car option to tow behind a motorhome. If you believe what the motoring press are saying, by all accounts the market is set to take off next year with the introduction of more models with good viable ranges. This could be further encourage by the continuation of or the introduction of more scrappage schemes

    I cannot see that such hire would be cheap David. Cheap hire might be desirable to Motorhomers but providing a one off dedicated electric car for hire would no be cheap.
