Safefill Large 10kg Bottle compatibility

I'm going to make the move to Safefill and am thinking about the 10kg bottle. I *think* it will fit in our van's locker but what happens when we change the van? At £160 outlay it's not going to be a cheap mistake to correct.

I also don't want such a tight fit that I need to empty the locker first!!

I'd like to hear a short posting from anyone using a 10kg bottle with van make and model, along with a quick comment about how easy it fits the gas or front locker (easy, moderate or tight fit).

Plus if anyone tried the 10kg bottle and it failed to fit, please also post.

    My Safefill went into a 2007 Abbey Vogue with room for another beside it, if required. To fit it into the locker on my 2016 Marquis Majestic 125 MH, I have to lay it on its side to go in and then lower into place. I haven't tried fitting a second bottle but a second Safefill/Gaslight certainly won't.

    Coachman 560, no issue, easy fit, it is about the same size as a 6KG propane, fits into a standard bottle holder and strap. I did it mainly for the weight. Two Calor steel replaced with one safefill, 15kg saved I think.

    The standard 10Kg Safefill is significantly taller and fatter than a Calorlight.

    Mine fits well in a 2011 Bailey Unicorn Valencia. No problem at all. Yes, they are not cheap but my goodness- I have paid for them with savings on rental cylinders and I would never go back to Calor! I’ll use their gas but they can stick their rental cylinders!

    I use a single 7.5 Kg Safefill in my side gas locker Bailey Pegasus series IV.  It fits on the stand perfectly well with plenty of height to spare.  Personally I don't need the larger cylinder as I can see when I'm running low on gas & refill before my next outing.

    I have just measured the available height in my gas locker and a 10 Kg bottle will fit, no problem.

    I have the 10kg Safefill which fitted in a Bailey Unicorn Barelona and previously a Seville. I now use it in a Swift 580. Although a slightly tighter fit in the Swift it is secure although I did have to lengthen the restraining strap. We stay a fair bit on basic CLs without EHU so the saving is massive.

    I use a 7.5 Kg bottle in a Bailey Ranger 460-2 series 5. There's a good 200mm clearance over the top of the cylinder, and the difference between the 7.5Kg and the 10Kg is only 103mm. So a 10 Kg will fit, but do you need it? Since you can top up before going away you've always got a full cylinder to start off with, unless you regularly use 7.5Kg of gas it may not be worth going for the bigger cylinder. I went for the Safefill as when I changed over from a motorcaravan I had to choose between 2 new Calor Lites or the 7.5kg Safefill, because of the limited noseweight of my car. There was very little difference in the total cost so the Safefill won out, and I'm glad that I didn't stay with Calor.

    I have a Swift Challenger sport 2012 the large Safefill fits perfect .

    We bought a 7.5kg but a 10kg would have fitted in the front of our Delta if we had wanted one.  

    We did our 1st fill yesterday and are currently burning off the last of the Calor lite we will be handing back.

    The 10kg bottle fits great in our Sterling Eccles Ruby SE, 2015 and we are using it extensively. Might be tempted to by a second one and use that in our Patio heater also...

    We've even managed to fill it up in Spain, as well as the UK.
