Stop moaning
Just recently we went to Abbey Wood site Just prior to that we were in Tredegar House Apart from that we have had quite a few other holidays away Needless to say we're retired Before or during any of our breaks it's good to see what other people say about a particular site and most of the time I wonder if we are staying in the same place Some people can't be satisfied and love to write a bad review I can't help feeling that if a toilet is left dirty it's your fellow campers who left it that way Litter is down to club members Dog mess and dogs barking is down to their owners as are noisy children Members only use these sites so for heavens sake don't complain that the wardens have to close the facilities at a time unsuited to your particular schedule Stop finding fault all the time and go away relax and make the most of the fabulous sites superb staff and most important a good bottle of wine That's what my caravan club is all about

if customers are being allowed to behave in an antisocial way on a campsite Larry. the people to blame are the Warden staff.
They are the paid company employees whose duties include ensuring that their site is a fit for purpose. Don't blame the customer.

I’m with Larry on this one.
Take things in your stride and get on and enjoy yourself.

I'm with Larry too.... If a shower cubicle is left dirty, or a dog-owner fails to 'pick up' after his/her dog - don't blame the warden! We and they don't want them to be following everyone around watching every move.... There used to be a 'club' standard of good behaviour which meant everyone got on and enjoyed themselves without worrying(?) about others. By all means complain if there is something amiss - but I don't expect wardens to pre-empt the bad behaviour of members, that is why we have rules as well as using a modicum of common-sense..

. . . if they are not happy with the service they receive.
It's not as if we recieve the service as a gift.
We pay for it. And we pay handsomely for it as well.
Somehow I think that not all that much of it finds it's way down to the Wardens' wallets though.

I'm with Larry on this one.
If I see a member allowing their dog to foul the site, for example,(other forms of anti social behaviour are available) and not stop to pick it up I'll tackle the owner and ask them to do so. If they then refuse I'll inform the warden. If they refuse to do anything about it then I'll complain about the service I'm receiving from the club, but don't see how the wardens can be held responsible for something they know nothing about.

people aren't happy that they have a shiney outfit and a lifestyle some only dream about so they have to moan?

I too agree with Larry. Reviews should give information about the site and surrounding area not the behavior of other members.

We should be as happy as Larry.

You never know DD, he might still have the hump about publicly trashing his caravan on that TV show and you caught him on an off day

Of course he wouldn't. His contract for the purchase of the tin of beans is between him and the retailer. The retailer is responsible for the product he retails.
Just like the CMC, if any of their customers have an issue or complaint about the CMC's goods and services, the correct action is to complain to Grimstead , which means that the buck stops at DG level..
That complaint should be then dealt with in a polite, helpful and professional manner.

"Reviews should give information about the site and surrounding area not the behavior of other members. "
-A recent review of Moreton in Marsh commented on both male and female shower cubicles being left contaminated with talcum powder! When we last visited Moreton on 8 February, we found the same problem. The wardens couldn't track down the culprits, but they must be regulars at Moreton. Surely matching dates and bookings could bring this couple to justice!

I assume this is a joke. It's a place where people shower and may or may not use Talc afterwards ?

" It'll all end in tears " just as the last two posts that were locked, moaners moaning about moaners.
Could I suggest if one does not agree with someones moaning, let them, there is no sense in turning a discussion into an argument.
Happy caravanning, indoors.

I agree with that, but really, Wardens becoming detective to track down the phantom Talc user
I'll say no more
ps, No offence intended to anyone.

Mud, bodily fluids-yes, Talcum powder?, not really surely

You may be shocked JV but I’m not that sensitive to be honest. To use an oft quoted phrase of yours-not many will be ‘in the real world’

If it gets wet it will surely just wash down the drain.
Anyway, who dances in the shower?
