I am off out soon to see the musical Nine to Five tonight plus a meal at the theatre. Have a good evening all.  (Can't get the silly tune out of my head every time I think about it! laughing)

This may be absolutely pointless but we are in a rural area in kent and had the same problem.  We now have callflow, from what i remember so many people had to sign up and then work was done on the cabinets and aerials were put up in some places.  I'm pretty sure the county council had to pay something as well.  We now have pretty good internet.

Won't Sky's Broadband still use the BT infrastructure?

Mrs.WN (the brains of the marriage) reminded me of this same point Goldie about 10 minutes after posting! So you see my request really was totally pointless but thanks for your advice. Back to the drawing board.

Many thanks RLLJ, we have been active on that same theme, had meetings and communications etc but still seem to have been missed out. I am interested to read about callflow so will look that up. smile

Seems like Callflow only operate in a few counties in the South East. Good luck to you RLLJ.

I find it is pointless going abroad and expecting my iPhone to receive a coherent signal from the CMC website. It keeps saying 'we use cookies to give you a better service', then gives a button saying 'I accept'

Having 'accepted' I then find the same damned screen opens up again 10 seconds later and nothing will allow me to progress onto the site.

All pretty pointless I would say.

PS. have same problem when in UK but then tend to use laptop and a Hotspot to overcome it.

I had a good time at the musical 9 to 5 last night, then bad news this morning about a friend having a massive stroke, then some work at home, followed by a huge queue for a flu jab. This had a productive side as I caught up with local news from fellow queuers. Getting the hang of our electric car now, seems less like a spaceship more like normal transport. Tomorrow OH takes a friend to exchange a M/H back to a caravan, three goes at motorhoming haven't proved to be what he wanted.

We've got up to a rather grey and overcast morning. A contrast to yesterdays sunny weather. We're having muesli for breakfast this morning. Back to work this evening, now that the awning is all done, we're settled in for another possible 21 nights on our seasonal pitch.

Sorry to hear about your friend Brue.

We were walking through the village after calling in at the shop and noticed a bungalow up for sale. We asked their neighbour, someone we know, as to where Norman was moving to and we were told that he had died quite suddenly 2 weeks ago, buried within 4 days and the house (he lived on his own) put up for sale 2 days later!

Just reinforces the belief that one should do as much as one can whilst one can and don't keep putting off enjoying life until later. It's also for now.

We raised a glass to him at lunchtime whilst eating out at a new venue for us, and enjoying it.

Wherenext you are so right about enjoying the now and doing it while you can. In this case it all seems to have sorted very quickly. I didn't know it was possible to have a funeral within 4 days nowadays. Around here it takes that long to get the paperwork let alone make the arrangements! If it was sudden I wonder if it required a post mortem? Again speedy! Being a young cynic is someone in a hurry for a legacy? That also goes to prove you shouldn't stint on what you want and need as anything you leave will soon be spend by A N Other 😲. Pointless to hoard 😉

I don't know the circumstances, Bakers, as we have been away on an extended CL trip and only got back last weekend. I do know that he had a Nephew who also lives in the village so maybe he has inherited the bungalow. Norman used to walk their dog for them and that's how we used to meet when we had one. We hadn't seen him for a while so it could have been an extended illness but the other neighbour has only just moved in and didn't know the details.

Still, a timely reminder to enjoy what you have.

Had our 2 brown bins emptied yesterday. A day in the garden giving some shrubs a haircut and they're both full again. Pointless.

Disappointed with today's weather, comfortably warm for gardening in shorts and t-shirt but started off grey, blue sky for a couple of hours and back to thick grey heavy cloud. Forecast pointless 😢

Our   Brown  bin  was  emptied  on  Thursday,  and  that  disturbed  the  resident  spider which  is  about  the  size  of  my  top  thumb  section.  It  keeps  rebuilding  the  web  despite  it  being  in  a  right  "wind tunnel"  ?? Wonder  if  some  part  time  northern  cave  dweller  wasn't  really  paying  too  much  attention  --  3  tries  indeed  laughing  !

Wrote a long a detailed review for the site we've just visited. Including bus numbers and times with the route. Didn't think to copy the text but pressed to post. Error message page. Couldn't get the text back. Assumed I'd been logged out but not the case. Totally pointless and a waste of my time. I've had this problem everytime I've tried to leave a review this year. 😭😤😭😤😭😤😭 If I thought it would do any good I'd email HQ but I fear that'll be another pointless waste of my time. I feel so sorry for CL'S.  I'll see if I can summon  the energy later to do on another website.

Milliehull I did 2 loads of washing overnight after watching get the national and local forecast. Mostly motorhome stuff not needed til next spring. Pointless as woke to met office yellow weather warning for fog and they weren't wrong! Was very thick here but us clearing slowly,  no breeze 😢. Mist/fog got a tiny mention in passing. Totally pointless.  Not going to tumble what can be as I prefer air dry. Here's hoping for better tomorrow or the day after even if I have to put through a rinse again!

Ps did notice rain for higher than us and possibly your way. 😤
