Sites near the NEC Birmingham please?
We are going to the IPEX (International Printing Exhibition) at the NEC Birmingham at the end of the month and would appreciate any advice on where to stay overnight in the area.
We are in a Motorhome, don't necessarily need hook up and would prefer a site near woods or woodland for walking our dog.
A restaurant within reasonable walking distance would be a bonus.

I suggest Somers Wood at Meriden - not cheap, and adults only, but a good quality site with hard standing pitches and as close as can be to the NEC. But is a one mile walk to the village too far ?

Thanks - I'll have a look at both.
But is a one mile walk to the village too far ? - not unless it's raining.

Somers Wood is our local AO site. It is located in a small coppice and there is an adopted unused road along its length to the side of the quarry which is perfect for walking your dog, off lead. (Somers Rd)
The mile walk along the road to Meriden is paved the whole way, The Bulls Head is an excellent gastro pub which is dog friendly. When you reach the village at the island cross the road with the cycling monument and shops to your left, pub is 300 yards on the left.

theres often a THS at Croxall Farm, Coleshill which we have used in the past, just a short drive to the show and no silly CC overnight parking charges. the THS is usually around £8-£10....
