It's survey time as well. Follow the instructions and there's 25 points on your account. Potential for 300 points a year without spending anything. That's £3 in your pocket wink

clubcard is the only one I use nowadays. I ditched my nectar card when they hooked up with the daily mail.

Quiet day here. I'm trying to avoid doing much

I agree with your sentiments Kj. Would  anyone like to hear about all our various card points? I prefer this thread to stay pointless, thank you! smile

If you're all going to talk about tesco points i'll talk about my john lewis points.  They really are pointless as we give the vouchers to our daughter.

Trawling through ISA accounts ready for one maturing later this month. I was looking for one that paid out monthly on a £25,000 holding. Maybe as much as £40 a month. Then I realised that was pointless as my Old Age Pension starts November and so might as well have interest at end of term.

How nice to have savings EasyT. In 2018 the banks will cease to have funding for lending, I suspect that things will improve when they suddenly need savers money...but not so good for borrowers or anyone with card debts.

Yes, borrowers have had it good for 10 years now, time for the savers to get a better return.

Without the savers there would not be enough money for the borrowers.

If your lucky ET. Recieved the paperwork saying how much they were paying today. The day after it was paid into the bank. So slightly pointless. The paperwork I mean, not the payment.

Now waiting for the semi pointless paperwork from the tax man, saying they can't tax my pension, but will tax something else instead.☹️

Just a case of not so  easy come, easy gone, I suppose.😂

Well mortgage lending rates have been ridiculously low for a while. When money is cheap to borrow in normally allows house prices to rise.

Certainly been slim for those relying on income for capital though. I realise that I am fortunate Brue in having ample savings and sufficient income even without a state pension.

It may seem pointless having to move sites every 21 days but it still has to be done because those are the rules! So now we're in the process of packing away the awning in readiness for tomorrows departure.

Just home from our autumn stint away in East Anglia.

MIL (who lives with us) gave us a fright. She told us that whilst we were away she had been down to the Undertakers and arranged and paid for her funeral. She's chosen her music and eulogy and even which crematorium she wants to be turned to ashes in!

Naturally we were taken aback until we twigged that the "Crem" is one that hasn't been built yet and is still in the planning stage, so obviously she isn't planning on going any time soon.smile

Pointless thinking about our inheritance then!

Spent  a  few  wasted  minutes  watching  some  lads  playing  football  on  telly.  They  Claimed  to  be  representing  England  but  they  were  that  appallingly  bad  that  I'm  thinking  of  doing  'em  under  the  Trades  Description  Act  or  some  such.  It  was  utterly  ghastly  and  I  was  so  taken  aback  that  I  put  the  I T V +1  prog  on  to  give  'em  a  chance  to  improve.

Now  that  was    UTTERLY  POINTLESS  !yell

OH has been trying to do my tax return today, she has spent about 4 hours on it so far.   I have to supply the correct information when requested.  To help with this I have been keeping a spreadsheet recording our bank interest each month.  However my figures did not agree with what the bank said, so seems my efforts were rather pointless!  embarassed

I had apparently missed out a couple of months in two cases, and recorded things twice in another case.......must try to do better in future!

OH is looking decidedly fed up!
