I want some conkers to deter the spiders in our conservatory so when we picked the grandsons up from school this afternoon we gave them the choice of collecting conkers or going for a chocolate milkshake. Guess which they chose 😦A bit of a pointless question really.

Do conkers deter homing spiders? I am sure I have removed the same spider umpteen times!

Im sitting at home watching the Scotland game drinking of a nice cold beer. If Scotland dont win tonight then the whole qualification round would have been pointless

Although if it stays the same the game won't be pointless....both sides will get one. By the sounds of it the English game is a one point game too, enough to get England through to the finals.....so not pointless in either sense.

Just booked my ferry crossing for Saturday morning as I'm off to Germany for 7 to 10 days, not too pointless as visiting my brother.

90  minutes  gone  &  England  have  just  scraped  a  goal  --  That's  been  89  pointless  mins  with  tele  on  with  sound  off  ( due  to  appalling  lack  of  commentary  from  Tyldesly  &  Hoddle )  and  radio  sound on. Sadly over  7  boring  pointless  minutes  of  added  time yell  if  I  can  stay  awake thro  that  load  of  bovine  dung,  I'll  not  get  to  sleep  till  it's  time  to  get  up  on  Saturday  !

Good weather for our trip home today, traffic seemed less than usual so we made good time and arrived here just before 4pm.

House pleasantly warm due to the sun, but chilly tonight so heating on.

Have brought in some things, but main unpacking can wait till tomorrow.

Damp check at dealer went OK, no action required.

OH has come down with a terrible sore throat and cold, I had a sore throat 2 days back so am getting the blame for passing it on!  She is in a bad way, can hardly talk.

After we got back from WWT yesterday evening, we had a nice relaxing evening in the caravan with a wee dram listening to 80s music on the CD player, followed by dinner. Eventually retired to bed at 21:00.

I woke up a little while ago feeling thirsty, so I made a pot of tea and spent some time catching up with the posts on here. I posted about our afternoon out at WWT on the 'What are you up to' thread and our evening on here. Pointless really, having to post on both threads but there we are!

Finished weatherproofing some brickwork then it rained before the sealant dried so I'll have to do it again. The very definition of pointless yell

Hopefully my efforts this morning were not pointless! Just advertised my neighbours Fiamma Caravanstore Pull Out Awning on Preloved, CC Classifieds and On Caravantalk. 18 months old, never used and an asking price of £220. Hopefully somebody will be interested.

Just picked up my Fiamma canopy from local awning repair place, Velcro retainer straps, one became detached so had all three replaced.

Pointless buying another when £25 has made it as good as new money-mouth

Hung up in the garage now and will resurface for next years outings.

After we got back from our garden visit in Handcross, as detailed in the What are you up to thread, we had a cup of tea in the awning before going shopping at Tesco. We bought a few groceries for which I earned double points by paying with my Tesco debit card. Points for me but pointless to everyone else on here!

That's because last time I received enough vouchers to almost pay for a return ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight. So there is some point to it!

Ah, but has he got the Tesco App? You can get even more points then!

If Kit Marlowe was still alive, I suspect his tale of selling one's soul to the devil would be entitled "Tesco" rather than "Faust".

A pointless perusal, but there you go!wink
