Awning reduction

Hello all,

I have purchased a smaller caravan and so my awning is now too big for the van.

I am considering reducing my awning as I do not really want to sell it.

It’s in good condition but ten years old. Also I have annexes that go with the awning, used when my children were younger and came with us on holidays. Now looking to holiday with grandchildren.

To fit my new caravan I would have to reduce the awning from 900cm to 800cm. Would this be too much and completely alter the shape of the awning, or would it be ok. Anyone else out there reduced their awning by the same length?

Advice or ideas would be appreciated.

Regards T

Was in a similar position this year but had to increase the size of the awning.  I was recommended by Bradcott to use Trio Pair in Pomtefract.  They use a courier service although I didn't use as living relatively locally.  They charged me £180  which was a standard charge and did an amazingly neat job with a perfect match on the material.  Can't recommend them highly enough

Does any one know of a company who will 're-spring' awing poles?

Another vote for Trio Pair! They are very helpful and advised me well when my awning needed extending. The resulting job was perfect, matching fabric and neat stitching.

Give them a call, they will advise what is possible.
