Information on arrival
We have just visited the Knaresborough Club site in Scotton. There is a lovely new Bistro called The Wanderer onsite for evening meals, but also for breakfast at the weekends. Fortunately we pitched up next to a seasoned regular who informed us about the bistro and the breakfast hours otherwise we would have been unaware ! It would be useful to be given this information when arriving if only to boost custom for the Bistro.
Moderator Comment - This is not really what the Story Section is for so I have moved to the discussion area.

hello Radion, wasn't there even a site leaflet given out?

I have also noticed this. We always refused one if it was a site we new well. However, recently they have not generally been offered. Although Knaresbrough does not have an on line one, so it may not have been produced yet.
Information on the new Bistro, inc opening times and menus is available on the club site. So it would have been worth the warden mentioning this in the general info.

Maybe you're right PD or to save paper?, I've noticed that recently I'm always offered one but at one time you just got given it.

I noticed that that on the web page for the site it doesn't have one to download? maybe they haven't been produced yet? These things take time, they are individually written out by monks working by candlelight at club HQ

I know what you mean Radion69 but looking on the bright side at least you can be the first in the queue for breakfast 😊 and Knaresbrough is a lovely site. I hope the bistro doesn't ruin your stay.

Strange as it may seem, there are still some of us dinosaurs not constantly connected to Wifi, not even possessing smartphones. This is not carping at you, Peedee, just sad that the only way of getting the info is increasingly to have to log on. We spend too long on machines when we're at home, and enjoy getting detoxed when away, so small runs of recycled paper leaflets really help!
