What is the difference between the two? Or is it the LMT-D is the software installed/

Cheers

I believe that LMT stands for Lifetime Maps and Traffic so without the "T" I guess there are no traffic reports so you won't get messages saying "Incident in 121 miles" as I did the other day on the Autoroute. Of course, by the time you get there everything has changed.

I am sure the Garmin website will explain all. You can get regular map updates by plugging into your computer and linking through Garmin Express.

Its a good product and not worth paying extra for the Camper versions.
