Having seen a neighbour on site with a 45 yr membership badge I wondered how these are obtained? Apart from the obvious being a member for 45 yrs. Do they get issued on passing a milestone if so which ones 10, 20, 30?
anyone know??

I've got a 10 yr sticker. You can have it if you want although there's a good chance I may have binned it.

Those CMC stickers are in no way an indication of the Caravanner's experience and expertise, or how long they have enjoyed the hobby of Caravanning.
All they show is how how many consecutive years that particular customer has paid for a retail discount card from the particular retailer of leisure goods and services called the CMC.

As soon as the change was announced I 'phoned and asked for my next update sticker before they were abolished, so I have a genuine The Caravan Club one.
I wonder if the new entity will do them as well - we will have to wait another four and a half years though before anyone is entitled to a "Five Years" one.

I won't put stickers in my window. Don't believe in providing advertising space for nothing. Don't want a long service sticker but I'm a long way off since the club had to reset my membership (IT issues can you believe?) and I've now done two years

Yes, As they tried that one on me also. But I made a stink and got the past years put back - although I lost the early membershit number.

Many caravanners plan their holiday itinerary many months in advance. If the areas they want to tour that year does not have a CMC site or there are more convenient sites available, they won't renew their CMC subscription for that particular year. The next year when the CMC customer pays for their discount card, their number of years using the CMC is automatically returned to Zero.
So why place any importance to those stickers on the window.. They are meaningless.

Hi all
Regardless of your view on the importance of a window sticker, you are all welcome to them when you pass each 5 year milestone from 10 years.
To obtain one (and yes, they are now bearing the new CAMC branding) just drop us an email or a quick call and we'd be delighted to send them out to you.
As Kennine quite rightly points out we send them out based on your years of recent consecutive service at the Club (pre and post rebrand!)
To the OP - please send us an email and we'll check your Membership: enquiries@camc.com
Thanks all
Helen

I don't know, what a moaning lot many of us (you?) are. We have our 30 years sticker on display but wouldn't condemn anyone who didn't want one or didn't want to display it. The club sends it out as a token of thanks for membership. OK some might like free site night vouchers, other would complain as they never use CAMC sites. It's a case of the club being damned if they do and damned if they don't. More important things to get uptight about.

Perhaps he was banned.

Nothing surprises me about this site any more. The only shock would be if it worked properly.

Congratulations?

I don't think 20 year stickers fetch much, but 40s sell well on e Bay.

Each to their own I guess, Grant. We all make different choices.

There is a huge difference between a retained number that has been in a family for years and an attempt to make a word or phrase by bawdlerising a recent issue sequence.
I am very happy to currently have on display a number that has been with our family for decades.
