What are you all up to

Perhaps the concern there was that the conversation was taking an unfriendly direction when condemnation about a point of view was being expressed without due cause or reason!

A narrow lane not a million miles from here - the view from the tractor (and front mounted mower). At least there's no high bankings like is some parts of Cornwall!

I have no objection to what anyone has said on here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it has obviously bothered somebody on here!

Surprisingly busy afternoon in the Cathedral today. Lovely to see so many people and form quite a few different countries as well. They were putting the big heaters back on today as apparently they take a couple of weeks to get up to speed. As I was leaving the choir arrived for Evensong with the new intake of Probationers - gosh they looked tiny!!
Hope you have a good few days away Bakers2. Looks like you are getting some good weather.

Oneputt glad you like it too. Very local to us. Wish I could go on a wildlife walk with you 😉. Not much good at identifying birds other the the obivious ones, but I love to watch out for wildlife. Also dont have the patience to sit and watch. Not seen the owl yet this trip.

Cloudy start to the day, still did the washing though as it promised a better afternoon. Much better afternoon but still not the usual med weather for this time of year. Shorts have rarely been worn, the wind is quite chilly as its coming from the north.
Glad to read you managed to get out and about today Kj, oh and congrats on your families news.
Have a good trip away Bakers2.
We managed a cycle out this afternoon up to the canal du midi, sat and watched the boats going through the lock for awhile then back to the van via Lidl.

The weather seems unsettled everywhere at the moment tammygirl. Glad you are having a good time. Hope your knee is getting better.

Er! - mowed the lawns today after three weeks away, took 1 1/2 hrs.
Is that OK?
I would ,of course, have preferred to discuss personal finances but it seems that that has been squelched from on high.
Tomorrow I hope to clean my car.
Good night all!

Started getting ready for our move to Ramslade tomorrow, had to empty out the back of the car again as the boot mat had once again crept back and was stopping the tailgate lock engaging correctly.
Discovered that the key lock mechanism on our 6 month old Brink towbar has failed, so something else to get sorted on our return home.
We had the same problem on the Brink on the XC90, but it did take at least 5 years to fail. It does not affect the operation of the towbar, just means someone could steal the hook off the car. I always remove it to save my shins anyway, so not really a problem.
Seems our neighbour over the road will also be leaving tomorrow, he has taken down his awning and has again parked his car across the front of his van, this time with the entire rear wheel on the very narrow road. Seems unnecessary as he now has 2 large empty spaces either side of the van to use!
Hopefully he will leave before we do.
Only 80 odd miles to Ramslade, but will take over 2 hours as the route is narrow in places with plenty of bends too.
Rest of our sites on the way home are bronze wifi, so if anything like the previous two, we may not be able to log on to the Club website.

Look out for the Barn Owl too, B2, sure to be about if the weather stays fine and the winds light.

Drove down through New Quay this morning and found a small car park at Pont Llanina in by an old 18/19C ruined Mill. We walked, and Flyte ran, the whole of New Quay Bay round to the Lifeboat slipway, then into the town and onto the Harbour wall and pier. Watched the Lifeboat towing in a fishing trawler, which we guess must have had engine problems out at sea. Saw a couple of pairs of Dolphins out in the bay from off the pier and then another on the way back, also Greater Black Backed Gull, Razorbill and a Yellow Wagtail . It was a lovely warm sunny day with little wind, a T-shirt and shorts type of day!!

We've just woken up after a few hours sleep. I needed to take some more painkillers for my hands and so now we're having a cup of tea. Two days have passed now since our weekend away at the Burlington Hotel so we're now settled back on to our pitch at Northbrook Farm club site.
It was possible to have an early night as my wife didn't need to go shopping at Tesco in the evening, so we had an early evening meal. A more peaceful night now that the rain has stopped. No more pattering noise on the roof.

What else was I up to today?
Well, this morning I had cereal for breakfast, I then walked over to reception just after 9 a.m. to collect my daily newspaper and pay for tomorrows paper. Then I walked back to the caravan and sat in the relaxer in the awning to read it. Then I did some posting on here.
After that it was time for lunch, so the table inside the caravan was laid with table mats, cutlery and condiments in readiness for the meal. The food was then served on to plates and put on the table ready for eating. After lunch the table was cleared and put away. Dishes were then washed and put away, cutlery in the cutlery drawer and plates in the overhead cupboard plate rack.
Then it was time to sit out in the relaxer in the awning and fall asleep for a while.
In the evening we went for a walk and noticed how some trees were changing into autumn colours whilst others were still green. We had our evening meal and then it got dark until eventually it was bedtime.
Is that better?

People sometimes complain because they like complaining.
I remember an incident many years ago at work. One of my colleagues there used to complain everyday about some work related issue or another. Then one day everything went right. So he complained to the supervisor that he was bored with his job because there was nothing to complain about!

We've just got up. Kettle's on for a pot of tea.

I can't see anything wrong in anything you've said, Goldie!
Tea is ready and brewed now, so time for my first cup of tea.
It's a bit grey and overcast this morning but at least it's not raining. Sorry, that comment was slightly off topic because it wasn't what I was up to but what the weather is up to. I guess someone will hit the report button and complain, no doubt!

I hope it wasn't something I said, brue!
It's like that saying, oh you are awful but I like you!

Lovely sunny day here in East Norfolk. Managed to sort out a wheelchair for BIL so going to take him to SWT Carlton marshes for a touch of wildlife therapy.
Been sorting out some of the best 2017 photos in preparation for getting a calendar printed for the the family for 2018. By the time we get to the end of November Mrs One will have to decide on the final 12

Spent yesterday relocating kit to the motorhome. It's surprising how long it takes when you are working out the best way to stow stuff in a new vehicle. Also been familiarising myself with where the basic bits and pieces are. The engine battery is less than accessible like lots of things in modern vehicles.
