CAMC Insurance valid?

Hi All,

After over 20 years of membership of the club we decided to try another organisation with different sites. In August our membership was cancelled because we stopped the direct debit for the renewal fee. My question is now we are not members does my club insurance on my caravan continue to be valid until the renewal date of March 2018. I guess the answer is yes, since they are still taking the premium payments out of my bank account by direct debit every month. But does anyone actually know the situation in this case?

Thank for any help you can give us.

I'd contact the C&MC by phone to get an answer H2. I can't imagine they'd class it as invalid but continue to take payments. You let your membership lapse not your insurancesmile

Doesn't the CAMC merely act as brokers and your insurance is with an insurance company . I have my car insurance through the club but I'm actually insured with LV.

if that is the case your insurance should be ok until the renewal date.

Just as a matter of interest, today I have had a quote from the club insurance for my car VW Golf 2.0 TD. I had already quotes from 3 other insurers so had a good idea of potential premium (fully comp). The quote from Devitts' (via club site) was just over 65% more than the cheapest & 45% more than the dearest of the others.  surprised Can anyone suggest which quote I accept? undecided

    Yes.  It is easy.

Pick the one that will pay out the most with the least hassle when there is a claim.

That will be the Club (Devitts) then excellent quick service wouldn't use anyone else.
