Black knowl pitch types

black knowl has 3 types of pitch

grass with electric

hardstanding with electric

fully serviced pitch

but when you book you cannot select a hard standing  pitch with electric, so depends on what is vacant you get either a hard stand or grass

then the next day people on grass a hovering around hard standing departures to switch pitch

surely the club can show 3 different pitch types to stop this stupid system

also a lovely new developed site, which has the worst approach road of all sites, deep potholes, large road humps, and soft verges

The club don't own the approach road, it's the New Forest not suburbia, the tracks get worn out easily from vehicle use and winter flooding. The speed humps help to reduce forest animals getting injured or killed.

A trial of booking h ardstandings was "tried" and found by the powers to be to be too "confusing" for members? so has not been implemented, and as for "hovering" for a "better"pitch we have been on sites where the same happens for pitches with a "better"view"😈

Sorry, it wasn't found to be confusing for members.  The Club managers found they lost business - those members who were too late to book a hard standing pitch didn't book the grass ones.

I have visited this site every year for the last 10yrs and this is the worst it's been, road humps ok, but potholes either side of the humps are a nightmare.

we also used to use this site until they closed it for refurbishment, then we found the Setthorns site just down the road and use that ,much better and more space
