Elddis factory fit TV bracket

I have an Elddis Avante 540 (2013 model) with a factory fitted swing out TV bracket which allows the TV to viewed from the lounge or bed end of the caravan, Unfortunately it seems that the person who fitted it in the factory didn't fit it perfectly vertical which means the TV isn't horizontal.

Its not much but it does annoy me.

So my question is, Is it just screwed to the side of the cabinet or does anyone know if there is another strengthening plate on the blind side of the panel meaning the screws you see on the outside may some form of nut on the hidden side. If this is the case then the Microwave would need to come out or at least the surround trim panel come off. Anyone know how that is held in place if this is the case?

Thanks in advance for any information.

If it's not too much out off alignment as you say, why not elongate the holes in the VESA plate to enable you to line up the TV perfectly level. It could be easier than taking out the microwave and removing / refitting the whole bracket.

In answer to the question, there will be a block at the other side of the veneered panel, usually another piece of wood, mine has the wardrobe the other side so easily seen and accessed and it is bolted.

Not possible unfortunately, the VESA plate is cast alloy and there is not enough metal to open the holes up anymore, but thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the info, I suspected that was the case. I will have to see if the Microwave surround trim can be teased off  to get a better look at it.

One would hope the trim is just held in place by some form of spring clips?

The microwave surround if it's anything like the one in a Buccaneer, will be held in by screws.

Open the microwave door and you may find a couple of wood grain stickers, just in front of the main body of the microwave, which when the  oven door is closed, are obscured. Carefully peel off the stickers so that you can reapply them later, there will be two self tapping screws to remove.

Now open the cupboard door above the microwave and there will be two screws just inside, which secure the upper part of the microwave surround. Unscrew those and the surround can now be removed.

Should you need to remove the microwave after you have removed the surround, this is fairly obvious. At the base of the microwave, Elddis will have fitted a metal bracket which is screwed to the oven and to a wooden base that the microwave rests on, remove the two screws and slide out the oven, don't forget to disconnect the inline plug first and be careful, the oven will be heavy. Whilst the microbe is out, take the opportunity to clean out the bits of wood, sawdust and other rubbish that Elddis deem ok to leave in there. I speak from experience :-)

Thanks for the info Nigel. Unfortunately we keep the caravan in storage 18 miles away but we are going to Cambridge with it at the end of the month so I'll have a good look at it then. smile

No problem, it's fairly obvious when you've found those 4 screws that hold the surround and only few minutes to remove.

One of the nice touches found in Elddis/Buccaneers, much better looking than a piece of plastic moulding cool

Hi just came across your post I know it's a while back but just wondering if you still have the caravan and if so do you know the make of the TV bracket as I've purchased a elddis and the mount is fitted to the wall the same as yours but hasn't got the arm part and trying to find the correct one rather than fitting a new one many thanks
