I'm in Dillenberg, Germany and am having trouble connecting to power in an Aire - have used my adaptor previously in Cologne but here my 2 pins are a fraction wider the plug. Are there 2 types of adaptors please.

why do you need an adapter? Doesn't your normal blue 16A plug, plug into the post as it would do at home?

What are you trying to do 'AA' surprised

As 'MM' says above, that is a 16a socket, your 16a plug on your long lead will fit.

I would expect AA has already tried to use the normal 16 amp plug.

This could be a special 13amp German socket, only approved for use in Germany.  If so, only the correct plug will fit.

Have you got a link to this anomaly 'Kj', the photo looks to have the blue 16a standard lid along with the normal looking socket.

I would have automatically tried my 16 amp plug, so gave AA the benefit of the doubt and assumed they had also done so and found it did not fit.

I have replied to AA's identical question  in some detail on the PC forum.  However that one did not include the pics  ..... so I am now totally confused also!

Surely the photos show two female blue socket/plugs, one on the post and one on the lead. The female has the flap, the male doesn't. It's the wrong end of the lead!

embarassedembarassed Oh no talk about a blonde moment! 😂😂 Didn't even think about trying the main cable - just got fixated on trying to fit the adaptor. Thanks for all your replies and for not treating me like a complete numbskull 😊

No worries 'AA', we all make mistakes that are so obvious afterwards laughing just that this one is a classic tongue-out

    Have a nice time smile
