Everyone is agreed the promotion of Route 500 has been a great success, so why is the club closing all the sites north of Inverness on 25/9. The article in the club magazine suggested December to March were no go months, not September and October. My discussions with interested parties in Kinlochewe suggest this is a wrong decision.

Yes seems stupid. Even the fishing season has not ended when they close. I think its a case of " we have always done it" at HO. The commercial sites at Gairloch are still busy in October!!

There are still sites open throughout the winter in Scotland.  ( Non CMC sites ) but that's not a problem. The CMC has to make a commercial decision over closures and their decision is to close their sites on certain dates, there's nothing wrong with that.

A bit of divergent thinking will easily find sites and CL's/CS's open in areas of natural beauty which abound in this nation of Scotland.

    K cool

Not sexy enough for the tea drinkers to think about changing opening times.( After all Scotland is north of the Watford Gap).  Much better non essential things to waste their time on.
